This phone service is so unreliable! I never know when I will drop a call. So much for safety issues. I may have a signal at home and then it drops it with no warning. I can be talking to someone on the road to my home and the minute I get to my driveway, it's dropped. I cannot believe that Sprint has any customers anymore. Why do they say they are providing a service. It is inferior service and needs to be improved! What's funny though is that my husband is so loyal to this company! We have to go outside in the backyard if we want to take a call on our cell phones. It's not the phones-it's the carrier! Suckie Sprint!
Terrible. Same poor service from FL to VA. Can't believe our clients still want to use us since they might have to endure 4 to 6 dropped calls during any 10-20 minute conversation. Our contract is up and so is our 7 yr patronage to Nextel (now Sprint). FYI: service was not so great before Sprint bought it out, but now most dropped calls are because Sprint got greedy and oversold the capabilities of the limited towers that service Nextel. We are in construction and are joining the hundreds of contractors abandoning Nextel, especially since other plans now offer Push to Talk or phone only plans. Congrats Sprint--you pushed Nextel into the grave!
Sprint's reception is extremely substandard on the Southside of Jacksonville unless you are within a stones throw of a store (sometimes that does not help). I receive less than decent service at home and I roam at UNF. I cannot image roaming at a university with over 15,000 students. I truly believe Sprint does not have a clue.
Have lousey reception- which is a major problem since my cell phone is an important part of my business. Am thinking that it will be worth the $400 penalty for my husband's and my phone to get out of the contract.
Geat service. I travel around the country and it's great. Good thing about Cingular is that it works in other countries. Only Cingular and T-Mobile work out of the country. Even though sometimes I only have two bars, it's still clear!
Dead spots on JTB and 95 around Emerson. Also between Deerwood and Publix on Baymeadows (east of Southside) there is a dead spot. Difficulty getting a signal indoors. I've noticed some folks are able to talk on their phones while in the elevator at the Bank of America location by the Avenues: not sure what their carrier is (different protocol used). All in all I am very happy with Cingular as I travel all around Jacksonville and North Florida: signal strength is normally 4 bars. In turn, I have been on Nextel and Sprint and bother were horrible. T-Mobile and Verizon are also good choices.
Very poor reception. Without moving I can go from 3 (at best) to 0 bars in just a few minutes time. Dropped calls with T-Mobile service is a common occurence for us, so much so, that my family and friends all know to just wait until I get in my car to drive to find bars before I can call them on the cell again. Called T-Mobile, they have no plans for improvement in the area. Other T-Mobile customers in the area (all 4 of us) HA! Have the same complaint... can't use the cell in our own homes. Neighbors with Cingular can get service ANYWHERE in the area.
First phone from Sprint that dropped calls everytime. Goes from a full signal to a dropped call... ... .Im very dissapointed with a company that has always satisfied me in the past 5 years..
