Perfect reception... I get good reception inside of the apartment and outside. Never had a problem with the phone reception since I came to Jacksonville, FL.

AT&T
I've had AT&T for many years (Since they bought out Cellular One) and they have made many Great improvements with their coverage. 17 years ago there service was poor here where I live. Now they have installed a new Tower at the corner of Chaffee and Normandy and never had a drop call or no service since. While my one friend has been here many times with many different carriers for service and none of them would work here. He would have to walk across the street to make or receive a call. He finally gave up and switched to AT&T. I have traveled from Fl to Pa many times with usable service all the way. They don't have the best prices but I do believe they do have the best service across the USA.

Verizon
Verizon Wireless is just simply the best! I have tried every carrier out there. It just works perfect. Thank you Verizon. Those guys at the 210 store are very knowledgable, highly recommend them.

Verizon
Verizon has consistent and reliable coverage here in Jacksonville. Dropped calls simply do not happen when I had this service. I have tried Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and then back to Verizon because Verizon simply had the best coverage out of those three. AT&T is great for its rollover plans, which has saved my wallet several times, but it's not cut out for reliability and I barely get reception inside my home.

AT&T
Geat service. I travel around the country and it's great. Good thing about Cingular is that it works in other countries. Only Cingular and T-Mobile work out of the country. Even though sometimes I only have two bars, it's still clear!

I have been using Cingular for many, many years now and very rarely have a problem. And when I do, I call in and they get it fixed in a matter of a day or two. I switched to the new high speed broadband system and use the video feature a lot. I find it very entertaining and the reception always works no matter if i'm inside my home or out walking the dog. highly recommend Cingular if you are having a problem with your carrier. my wife had Verizon and was having terrible service especially at home. she switched to cingualr when I upgraded to the blackjack and we both are very happy...

T-Mobile
T-Mobile has great coverage throughout much of Jacksonville, usually hit 3-5 bars all the time

Verizon
I love Verizon! They have the best service (customer and network)... period end of sentence. You get what you pay for. I use my phone in my house all the time and never drop call or signal. They are the best.

Works well everywhere around the city but inside concrete block buildings it's bad but everyone I know has this problem.

T-Mobile
Tmobile provides a free booster (u pay $7shipping) for your home.Had poor coverage in house off of Hodges. I got booster and it works great. I switched from ATT and have less drops on JTB and 95 towards downtown with Tmobile. My wife had more drops on drive to beach with unlocked AT&T phone. Getting T-Mobile phone fixed her problem. I have unlocked AT&T phone and cant wait for the new 1900 LTE coverage to be online in Jaxville. I got a taste of it in Baltimore and it was screaming fast data download. Faster than my home wifi. Stuck with edge now. Anyone know about that refarming / new atower antenna deployment schedule for jaxville?>

Sprint
My cell phone reception seems to be good enough. I am amazed there are only 3 towers in the more densely populated areas.

AT&T
Dunno how often people may comment how good a service is on sites like these, but despite the fact that I really want an Evo 4g with Sprint, my iPhone has been working great with AT&T. The fact that there're minimal good comments about Sprint has me nervous. However, no matter what phone I've had with ATT, my calls always drop at the intersection of San Jose and University. And there's another spot closer to Baymeadows where calls always drop. Lastly, I occasionally drop at I-95 near the Golfair Blvd.exit. But those're the only three dead pockets I've found. That's a good track record considering some providers don't even get signal inside certain buildings... and I've never lost signal in a building before. Or at home.

Sprint
Thinking about switching just to get the iphone, but now I am nervous since I never have reception issue in my house or around my area of town. Only lose calls in a dead spot on Butler. Usually can travel from Florida to N.c with out any phone issues. Sprint has been good to me.

T-Mobile
I love T-Mobile in Jacksonville, Florida. We finally got 3G here in August 2009. Reception has been really good as I average 3-4 bars out of 4 almost everywhere I go. Their customer service has been great and the prices are lower than most. I suggest that everyone never sign a 2-year contract with any provider and go month to month with an unsubsidized phone (Google Nexus One). Best decision I've made. I was close to marking this service PERFECT but I changed it because I sometimes get EDGE instead of 3G. Picky, I know, but perfect would be 3G everywhere.

AT&T
I have never had a problem with reception, sound, or internet anywhere in Jacksonville, on the St. Johns River, or up to ten miles off-shore.

T-Mobile
Generally have very good to perfect reception indoors and out, in automobiles, and even in the back of the dreaded Walmart Superstore and Sams. Occasionaly drops to 3 bars when I'm very close to a lot of computer equipment. Also get similarly good reception with our Nokia 6103s 6203, and Razer phones

Pretty good signal here, used to be terrible, but they added a tower or something.

AT&T
Dead spots on JTB and 95 around Emerson. Also between Deerwood and Publix on Baymeadows (east of Southside) there is a dead spot. Difficulty getting a signal indoors. I've noticed some folks are able to talk on their phones while in the elevator at the Bank of America location by the Avenues: not sure what their carrier is (different protocol used). All in all I am very happy with Cingular as I travel all around Jacksonville and North Florida: signal strength is normally 4 bars. In turn, I have been on Nextel and Sprint and bother were horrible. T-Mobile and Verizon are also good choices.

Verizon
Work forced a Nextel Blackberry model #POS on me. I shopped for my personal phone for some time (Consumer Reports, this site, forums, blah, blah... ). My Verizon is GREAT. Of course, compared to the Nextel, anything is better, but the Motorola 815 / Verizon is great! Short story: Razor TOO small, Motorola E815 top of list, Verizon 'Best Service', online deal for phone, easy number transfer, works without having to run to driveway, fun to play with (hacks on the way)... .. Live in Mandarin, work in World Golf Vill., all good.

I have no complaints about signal or service... .but I think I owe that thanks due to I have a Bluetooth... .that little ear piece works wonders!

I'm very happy with Cingular's coverage all over Jacksonville. I have homes in Orange Park and Ponte Vedra and work in Southside - very rarely find myself with poor coverage.

Verizon
Verizon Wireless has the best reception in my opinion. I've had Alltel before too and I had good cell reception from Alltel at work (Riverside area) but decent cell reception at home (Westside area). With my LG-VX6000 cell phone on the Verizon Wireless network, I can usually get 4 bars both at work and at home.

T-Mobile
I want to compliment T-Mobile. (Wow, someone saying something good?!) I've had my service for a year now and get really good perception even in places where others don't! I have my spots but it's due mostly to the military where I work and not T-Mobile. It's a little choppy going over the intercoastal bridges but it doesn't drop off.

Sprint
I go to Baymeadows everyday to work. Baymeadows area, I have about 2 bars, which works fine for me. Downtown, I always have 3-4 bars outside, if I'm inside buildings downtown, I can have anywhere from 1-3 bars. Some buildings are better than others. Riverside (where I live), I have the worst reception when your inside (it's great outside), but no other companies are much better inside of any buildings in that area. Northside and Arlington, I have great reception. Beaches and Westside is fair. I can have my phone in my back pocket and it almost always has reception and I don't have any problems getting my voicemail a couple of minutes after the person has called if I'm out of my service area.

T-Mobile
I use both "sim cards" Cingular and T-Mobile and both seem the same around the Jax area, if one has loe RF, the other one does also. They must be using the same tower's :-)
