Horrible reception along Hutchinson Island. Indoors - 0 reception. Outdoors - 1 to 2 bars; rare to get 3G service.

NE Linda Dr.in Jensen Beach - Nextel coverage in the house is very erratic, near a window facing the street is OK, but at the back of the house the calls are dropped. Walking into the front yard gives more bars.

I'm currently in a dispute with Cingullar after switching to another company. They say that I broke the contract. I say that their side of the contract was to provide service and that their side was not fulfilled. This is my business phone and their lack of service very nearly cost me my two largest accounts. Verizon rocks here.

I just got Verizon's BroadBand Access to access the net. Sometimes it just flies - like advertised - but other times it is slower, MUCH slower, than a dial up connection. And there isn't any rhyme or reason why it is so unreliable and inconsistent. I was up at 3 a.m. this morning when almost no one on the island would even be away, much less on a cell phone. And the reception was just terrible. It started out OK but that lasts for only about 5 or 10 minutes and then it drops off like going off a cliff and I would be better off with a dial up connection. I think I should have stayed with my BellSouth DSL although I think it is overpriced.

No reception from the west side of Indian River and over the Jensen Beach causeway to A1A, the beach, and north to Nettles Island. Reception on Nettles Island is spotty, a lot of lost calls. I,ve talked to Cingular several times. Each time you call you get a different story about coverage. Basically they are always "working on it" They will not allow a change of phones without penalty. I have written to Senator Martinez and Congressman Foley no answers yet. Seems to me that the cellular companies should be required to adhere to some basic standards of coverage before they can sell service in an area.

I'm sorry but Nextel sucks. My phone never works especially during the hurricane. I regret ever getting rid of Verizon, their service is awsome!
