service sucks

If lucky can stand in one spot and get maybe one bar. I have been told time and again service would improve but to this day it has not. As long as I have been receiving AT&T cell service I'm ready for GOOD SIGNAL. As much as I pay I should be getting 5 bars. Will see what happens at least by the first of 2012.

I'm one of those who got switched to Verizon when they bought out Alltel. Alltel coverage was next to none, and it got no better with Verizon. I cannot make or receive a call at this location or anywhere within approximately a mile and a half of it in spite of Verizon's map showing complete coverage. I can text IF I hold the phone pointed out the kitchen window. Oddly enough, if I want to pay my cell phone bill via the phone, I can stand right there on the front porch and the call (and my money) will magically go through to Verizon Payment. The phone will show 2 bars sometimes 3, but if I answer a call, it immediately gets dropped and all bars disappear. Verizon must still be using those Alltel towers.

i get good reception everywhere, but in the house.anybodys as far as that goes.

2-3 bars outside NONE in my house. it's a serious pain in the rear I shouldn't have to go outside everytime I need to use the phone!

I have a Sanyo M1 with Sprint. I love the phone and think Sanyo makes the best phone by far:):), but the reception at my house (and only my house) is bad. I cannot make a call unless I go out into my back yard. Everywhere else I get good signal, whether it be Sprint or roaming coverage. I live 4.49 miles away from the nearest Sprint tower and am very excited about the new Sprint tower location going up (end of march 2008) right where CR 131 crosses I-75 (1.89 mi) from my house. I fact within a 20 mile radius of where I live, there are at least 10 new tower locations for Sprint that should be up and running by the beginning of April 2008. YAY!

Have no problems with reception in my home whatsoever. Voice and data are absolutely perfect.

Can't hold a call at home - very few bars. No reception at all south of 242 off of 247. Reception only good in town near Rt. 90.

signal goes in and out from no bars to 2 or 3 and sometimes more but generally many problems talking and being heard or holding a call. Was told there are no specific plans to add a tower out this way despite the new store they just built in town.

Alltel "cherry picks" its service areas. Rural North Florida has very poor service. Alltel is said to spend 1.5 millon on signs on the "Alltel Stadium" in Jacksonville, while providing good service in rural areas goes lacking.

I have never had a problem with Alltel. Their customer service is great also. Really good reception in rural areas where other companies have none.
