After having done an informal survey in California I found that users of Verizon, regardless of the phone model, got the best reception, so that's what I bought. Now in Florida, the reception is still very good with little, if any, breakup.

I've been out West for four years and have only had one dropped call. I have been very happy with my service. I am constantly using the phones data and calling / texting.

I have had issues before with reception, but 95% of the time, Verizons network has had better reception than Boost, AT&T, and Sprint. Overall, I am happy with the service and reliablity of the Verizon Network.

I must say that Nextel improved in a lot of areas since I was a customer in 05. I had poor reception all along forest hill and jog and around my house forest hill and kirk, radio seems to be working good and voice dialing still has that drunk muffled sound to it here and there but not as bad as it was in 05. I dont know I will see in the next 25 days how it goes.

I have AT&T digital. From a scale 1-10 I would say it's an 8. I've been all over Flordia and really never had a problem. If you don't get good reception, don't let any customer service tell you it's your phone. It's not your phone, you just don't live near a tower. Each tower's range goes a distance of one mile to 1 1/2 miles at most. Yes some phone are made better then others. I would stay with Motorola or Nokia. Verizon has the most towers in the country by far. No one is even close. In my area I can't pick up a Verizon signal and I let them know about it. They are sending a rep to investagate the problem. Now that's customer service. Covered all over the country. But in south Florida they are not as good as up north. Cingular, AT&T, and T-Mobile service is terrible.

I get 2-3 in my Condo which is Concrete and 3-4 outside at the Gate (US1). I never drop calls and when I am in NY (Nassau County) it's pretty much the same. I was surprised when I actually had 4G "Service" at the Best Buy store on Congress and tested it. The bummer is that on the way home I lost it shortly after I left I95 and went east on Hypoluxo. I DO know the difference between the 4G Radio being on and also getting a 4G signal. When the 4G was connected it replaced the 3G indicator on the top line. I have no idea why this is so different from most of the other people.

Nextel has terrible customer service and customer loyalty. I always see other services offering super deals to sign up or for customer loyalty. Nextel, well they don't even know what customer loyalty. Ya, I can get like 30 dollars for my phone, but that is about it. I have been a customer for 4 years and can buy a phone for the same price as someone off the street, that sucks.

Poor, Poor, Poor. This company will take as much money they can! Earned or not. C. Service is insulting an abusive. Unfortunately, this is they we get treated by most big dog companies today, if Cell phone Carriers, credit cards companies, cities and utility companies. The other problem is that no one in the government tries stopping the abuse.

Was fine from 2000 til April 2007, now it sucks. Fadeouts, choppy audio, dropped calls, even outdoors, and signal strength meter fluctuates rapidly. And T-Mobile says "no coverage planned", opened and closed several service requests the same way. Not sure if their techs even got in their trucks, they claim nobody else in the area has complained... so I gotta ask my neighbors if they are with Cingular.

Can not get reception in home. Customer service says that NO carrier will guarantee coverage in a structure.
