with out external antenna I have bad to do reseption with data card, samething years ago when I had Verizon cell phone. could not talk out here with verizon. bought Alltel data card does fair but have to have external antenna, the around 8pm the internet dies to worse than dialup. I also have AT&T cell it works great, reason I went with Alltel is because AT&T and Verizon had bad limits on data use, Alltel and t mobile was unlimited and cheaper. wish I had checked into t mobile but they did not have a usb card just laptop card and could not use it on desktops. so voice AT&T is good every around here, Verizon so so. If your traveing to nc mountains, AT&T so so Verizon better there. nextel / sprint no go in nc mountains
Reception is OK in most outdoor settings but drops to nothing inside the house. Out side 3 to 5 bars, but inside the house none to one bar. I have tried passive signal bosters with no increased signal strenth inside the house. Other brands of cell phones don't seem to make a differance. any ideas?
I've had Sprint for 3 years now and the 1st year was awful. Dropped calls, left and right. I'm much happier with their service now. Yes, dead spots near the Forest and a few other places but you can't have everything (what would there be to complain about!)
