Only get coverage in the house in a few spots, and even then only about 60% of the time. Often get no service at all, even outside. Sometimes I have to drive two blocks before I get a bar. My daughter's Samsung phone gets worse reception than my Nokia.
I signed with T-Mobile for ONE reason... ..that I could receive signals anywhere in USA and if T-Mobile wasn't available, then I could log onto somebody else's network for free. Just got back from Santa Barbara, CA and while lots of other conference attendees where using their AT&T plans, I could obtain NO signal whatsoever! When I went into the phone's NETWORK setting and clicked on "available networks" up popped Cingular, but could not receive a signal on that network either. So was not able to make or receive ANY phone calls for one week while at conference Sept 16-23, 2008. Fortunately my contract expires 12-6-08 with T-Mobile. No reception problems around Central Florida... ..But not worth a hoot for around the USA for traveling based on Santa Barbara experience.
This is really the summary of two locations and their separate coverages. We live at the bottom of the hill at the end of Hunt Club Blvd. in Sweetwater Springs. At the street intersection, and pretty much else in West Seminole county from all of Wekiva Springs, the mall, and pretty much everywhere else gets great reception. When you go down the hill, all reception is lost, calls are dropped, and you either end up getting zero bars but still are on Verizon's network, or you lose the ability to even get back on Verizon's network until you catch another blip of coverage. Does this happen with other networks, when Cingular was, well, singular, people had trouble down here. Did that change with the addition of AT&T, or are there any other options for this area if you know of them?
There is a no cell service on Wekiva springs road from 434 to Hunt Club Blvd. There is also spotty service all along hunt club blvd. Sprint compared it to being in the poconos on a moutain.only problem I live in florida and last time I checked there were no moutains in florida
Excellent reception. Friends who visit and have other carriers (Sprint and Cingular) often have to use my mobile to make calls. I travel nationwide and Verizon has, by far, the best coverage across the country.
