I use Alltel and have had great reception every where I go. My son and I share 900 minutes and never even reach that due to My Circle and mobile-to-mobile. I couldn't be happier since I switched from Verizon 4 or 5 yrs ago. My first cell phone was with Cingular when I lived in Tenn. I couldn't get a signal inside my house and had to walk around outside to try to find reception and the only place was ocasionally my back porch. I'd have to drive around in my car just to use my phone. Ridiculous! But now I am happy with Alltel and I highly recommend it.

I use Alltel and the ONLY place in Florida that I lost reception was in Super Walmart in Callaway; however, the agent told me to press *228 and that finds the nearest tower. Since a few of my phones were lost or dropped in water (kids!) I've had to change phones a few times and I haven't had a reception problem in quite awhile. Another place that I've had bad or no reception is on Hwy. 431 in Alabama but I think that has even improved. I've had Alltel 3 or 4 yrs now after I switched from Verizon and I couldn't be happier. The plans are good, me and my son share 900 minutes and never even reach that, due to My Circle and mobile-to-mobile. Its great! I highly recommend Alltel!

Live in Lynn Haven and normally get full bars. But even with that, my signal loses quality in the middle of a phone call. There is one spot on Hwy. 98, at Under the Oaks Park where my signal drops completely and I lose calls. That seems to be the only place where that happens though.

SOS and intermittent 1 bar reception in Derby Woods, no signal on Star Avenue, and drops calls on Tyndall Pkwy. in Callaway / Parker / Springfield, FL

Many areas that where previously good have become poor over the last 6 months.

I have to say that VRW has excellent coverage. However you have to "$$$pay$$$ for it. In these economic times switching to a less coverage company seems to be approaching fast because of other companies $$$ monthly and prepaid plans are cheaper. I will say that I have a Blackberry Storm and my daughter recently bought a Straight Talk Android phone that uses Sprint towers. We did a test to see which phone would load the same web page faster. Although she only had 2 bars and I have full bars, her phone was able to load the page and I had to wait another 3 min to get the same page fully loaded. What's up with that??? To me VRW is like the Microsoft of the Cell phone coverage. They know they've got the coverage and they're going to make you pay for it.
