If you don't have any reception in your condo, step your fat ass outside. What do you expect when you are in a shielded box, Einstein?

I have no reception inside of my condo.

Very Poor Service with Verizon spoke with rep they say they cant do anything no new tower plans.

From my home, most calls break up and I have to resort to the land line. Windover Farms subdivision is in a pocket of weak signal strength for AT&T. Most areas of Melbourne are fine, except for near my home and along I-95.

We lived in Palm Bay ( Valkaria area) for 10 years... NO cell reception trouble at home. Also, I work on Technoology Dr.and can not use my phones in that area either but co-workers with the exact same phones but differtent service (T-Mobile / Verizon / Metro) all had great reception. I have had several phones (LG, Nokia, and Razor) but was told it was the phones. We moved to Melbourne 3 weeks ago, off John Rhodes / Aurora / Wickham area. We cannot talk on the cell in the house due to dropped calls and not received calls. I called AT&T it is NOT a RECEPTION problem, they said it is our phones. My spouse and I have 2 completely different phones, so how is it our phones. I can walk to the tower as it is less then 1 / 4 mile away. I am totally frustrated and tired of having to go outside to use my phone a home. AT&T - NOT WHAT IT USE TO BE.

I generally have 2-4 bars when at home. When driving it is usually lower, maybe 2-3 bars. But there is generally always a signal when in reasonable areas. The main issue is dropped calls. I can't remember the last time that I had a 10+ minute conversation without at least one drop. Last night, I had about 10 drops in an hour. This is while sitting still and not driving or moving anywhere. My phone isn't real quick as a smartphone, but sometimes it is hard to tell if it is a phone problem or an issue with 3G here.

I dont know what all these people with bad reception are talking about. Beofre this new LG Vu, I had a Motorola Rzr (hated the phone and it broke all the time) but regardless of where I was in Brevard County it almost always had 4-5 bars. The only exception is down in south Palm Bay past Valkeria it always goes down to 2 bars or so... . Maybe they have older phones, or something, but mine works great as does my wife who is with AT&T also and has a cheaper Sprint (the red one whatever that is called)

Consistently poor signal, especially on the west side of the house.

Nextel blows dead bears. Can't get a signal hardly anywhere, then it comes up busy.

Very poor in Columbia Village / classroom buildings, It's a little better in the quad and main dorms (not as many dropped calls). I never knew what a dropped call was until I moved here. Even out in the middle of campus, solid 2 bars, its a miracle if I get 3. I found a magic spot on my desk where I can set my phone down and send and receive texts, but thats not the way a cell phone should work. Maybe I'm just too lazy to walk outside. It's hot out there.

Indoors I get virtually no signal (1-2 bars), and my family hates when I call on my cell phone! Outdoors I get maybe 2 bars at home. It improves after I get out of my neighborhood, but even then it can be spotty. One minute you have 4 bars, then you turn the corner and your call gets dropped because you are down to 1. Even while travelling out of state recently I had similar problems (although my brother-in-law, who has Verizon, never lost his excellent reception the whole time). Guess who I'm switching to?!

If I am indoors I barely get signal and am often unable to make or receive calls. Outdoors is ok but not great. This area needs HELP. I have been a at&t(cingular customer since 2000 and It has been great until I moved to this area.

I have had Nextel for many years now, I use to tell everyone to get the service but for the past 6 month my service has been ridiculous. I try to call out and, all I get is service busy try again later and even when I hit retry it doesn't' even go though any more. I am very upset with the service I am being provided! And by chance when I do get to make a phone call the person can't hear me and I can't hear them because my service cuts in and out so bad then my call is dropped and it says error 466 or something like that. I am so frustrated, all I have is a cell phone and I use it for work and when I can't be reached by my cell phone on time what's the point of having the sercive. There's times when people call me and I don't get there voice mail until the next day?? My phone says I have great service all 4 bars for the most part. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT GETTING NEXTEL! Yeah the direct connect use to be sweet but it sucks now your lucky if you get though and if you do the other person usually can't 2 way you back! No joke talk to people around you that have Nextel before you waste your money! STAY AWAY FROM NEXTEL!! I am out of my contract and told them that I was fed up with the service and to end my service at the end of my next billing cycle and they didn't even care or try to talk me out of it! This is sad!

I have been a Sprint subscriber for the past seven years. The service has been very good except for after the Hurricanes of 2004. I have just upgraded my phone of the past seven years to the Lg Fusic. The voice quality is excellent and I have had no drop calls. Sprint now has the 3g system completed in the Melbourne area.

Bad or unreliable reception. Changing phones helped but not much. Not too bad on the international coverage since they contract with local companies for coverage.

absolutely pathetic, there is a Verizon store in the Publix shopping center, I have no reception inside their store! as for at the Tuscany apartments, its a zero!

My husband spends every other week at airports around the country. The reception is not reliable. Also in Melbourne and Palm Bay, horrible, horrible coverage. Especially for in-plan numbers. When I call cell to cell, I get no service. If I call a land line where they charge minutes, it goes through. It appears calls are sand bagged... . We are dropped, have no reception bars, fade out, and go belly up all the time all over the united states. I cannot recommend Sprint.

Most times, anywhere in West Melbourne, from 192 to Eau Gallie Blvd.(including the Cingular store on Eau Gallie and John Rodes Blvd) I get ony 1 or 2 bars and will lose connection on a consistent basis. I called Cingular and lost the connection while I was talking to Customer Support. When I was able to reconnect, their solution was to pay more and get a better phone. I went to a Cingular store to check out the phone they suggested (Nokia 6102) and that phone was no better than my Samsung. I just got off the phone with them again and they say I am pretty much stuck with what I have. If I can get out of my contract I will. If I have to wait until my contract ends, I won't be resigning with Cingular, that's for sure...

No problem with calls all the way around the Melbourne Airport (NASA, Wickum, Sarno, US1).

Don't believe any good reviews you may read about T-Mobile. They were probably written by a T-Mobile representative. I believed them and got stuck with a plan that cost me over $1,100.00 for the year and all I received in return, for my hard earned money, was very poor reception and often no reception at all. I can make no calls from my home and very few from around town. T-Mobile has kept making promises to fix things but they do not make promises in good faith. Their word is no good. When I tried to get out of my contract they threatend me with a $400.00 cancellation fee even though I am not receiving the service that I was promised.
