In my house here, the reception is horrible. From a technical perspective (according to my phone), the RSSI's are -100 or below (i.e. reception sucks). There appear to be no T-Mobile towers within a reasonable distance, and in fact my phone periodically appears to switch between four crappy T-Mobile towers in an effort to find one that's decent. Sometimes the reception is so bad it roams to a Cingular tower somwhere in the area.

Nothing but broke up conversation, long periods of silence, and faied calls. The only thing I can really hear well is the noise frequency from the t.v. caused by the phones attempt to find reception.

For the most part, I have no problems with reception in these areas. I do loose some in nw palm bay, but still have reception.

Cingular = no reception, ever! I can't make a call from my spartment, work, or form my car; there is absolutely no reception in Melbourne, FL. For the past 4 weeks, I have at most one bar, but usually none.

I have pretty good service from my Verizon phone. I get 4 / 5 bars on average and 2 / 5 from back rooms and hallways.

We constantly have dropped calls on the Nextel Network and messages which arrive hours or days later. I have spoken to customer service... several times. There is a known lack of infrastructure and support equipment to handle traffic. AVOID this service for the time being.

ever since hurricanes service is horrible. Direct Connect works probably less than 1 / 3 of the time. Calls drop all the time and most of the time it says I got great reception but it wont allow me to make any calls and people call and it goes straight to my voicemail. Nextel used to be amazing with clarity and quality and reception. now they are terrible. Customer service people are rude and unhelpful and they hang up on you nonstop even when your being nice and not angry at all. DONT MAKE THIS MISTAKE THAT IM STUCK IN FOR ANOTHER 16 MONTHS

Reception depends a lot on where I am. If indoors, it's variable (not too bad). Outdoors it's good. "Inside" my office in 32934, it's just 1 or 2 bars. I believe in 32934, 850 MHz towers are more prominent, I measured that on a spectrum analyzer.

I signed with AT&T in Ft. Lauderdale / Miami. Reception was terrific with no problems. Then I moved to Melbourne. The service is horrible with more dropped calls and folks on the other end yelling constantly that they can't hear me. I'm completely disgusted with AT&T wireless. The customer service stinks too. I just spent yet another evening pouring over the overcharges on the bill.

A recently erected tower at Brevard Community College, has fianly filled in one of very few holes in Verizon Wireless Coverage here in the area! Great reception inside and out!
