I can't get much reception anywhere in my house. If I change hands I drop the call! My cell phone reception is the family joke. My parents live down the street and have Consumer Cellular through AAA which is serviced by AT&T and their reception is excellent. It must be my phone. People who come over have no problem with their reception and my husband has a company phone through Verizon with no problems.

Entire subdivision complains about reception. Dropped calls circa 70% Call quality changes depending where in the house yard or street you stand, reception ranges between poor and unusable. I only hope I don't need my cell in an emergency. We have tried every phone, samsung, motorola, LG, nokia, etc. etc. no difference, the problem is the service! 528 between US 1 and Cape Canaveral also irratic reception. Cingular boasts more bars in more places, I suggest they get out of the bar and get back to work on thier service!

Used to get terrible reception around here until I got a Nokia phone. Discovered it wasn't the plan as long as I had a Nokia got a good signal.

What a joke - the AT&T wireless store in Merritt Island can't get a GSM signal strong enough to connect inside the store - and even lots of problems outside on their sidewalk. FYI South Merritt Island is weak for TDMA, and totally dead for GSM.

For months, my service has gone south; whenever my wife would call she would complain that I never turn on my phone, because it wouldn't even ring, but would go straight to voicemail. When talking to family in Nevada, Tennesee, Arkansas, Florida, Maine, Seldom did I have a complete call without "can ya hear me NOW! or find I was sitting there holding a one-sided conversation. I had talked with several people about this and was told it was because of the massive insurge of Boost customers on the system or because of the sale to the Govt of a portion of the frequencies. All, I knew was my service was crud. Despite my love of Nextel, it hasn't all been roses. Like the time a Nextel rep called and asked how I liked the service and after telling him it was the greatest thing since sliced bread, he thanks me and hangs up. The next bill I see all these added services the little CS had added without "even" asking me. It took me three months and a threat to sue to get that one resolved. The last and final insult was when Cingular informed me that I couldn't port my number because Nextel told them it was in-active... lol, I had the Cingular rep call me on the in-active number... it was the first time in months I had a clear call..go figure. I guess in short one could say that for "me personally" Nextel has become the Sprint monster that I paid $150 dollars to leave some years ago, and if I don't deserve to be informed about short term problems they may be having; they can go flog themselves with wet noodles. I had tried Cingular go-phone in the past and got some dropped calls but nothing like Nextel or Previously Sprint PCS. If Cingular doesn't work out I guess I can use tin cans and a string.

I switch from Cingular to T-Mobile and had great reception in my house for 3 weeks (4-5 bars). Then all of a sudden I get a dropped call and can't use the phone anymore. Tech support tells me that there isn't enough reception in my area to make calls from inside a house. I just get "call failed". Of course this happens AFTER my 14 days right to cancel. I would've put with with Cingular's crap service to avoid this!
