For months, my service has gone south; whenever my wife would call she would complain that I never turn on my phone, because it wouldn't even ring, but would go straight to voicemail. When talking to family in Nevada, Tennesee, Arkansas, Florida, Maine, Seldom did I have a complete call without "can ya hear me NOW! or find I was sitting there holding a one-sided conversation. I had talked with several people about this and was told it was because of the massive insurge of Boost customers on the system or because of the sale to the Govt of a portion of the frequencies. All, I knew was my service was crud. Despite my love of Nextel, it hasn't all been roses. Like the time a Nextel rep called and asked how I liked the service and after telling him it was the greatest thing since sliced bread, he thanks me and hangs up. The next bill I see all these added services the little CS had added without "even" asking me. It took me three months and a threat to sue to get that one resolved. The last and final insult was when Cingular informed me that I couldn't port my number because Nextel told them it was in-active... lol, I had the Cingular rep call me on the in-active number... it was the first time in months I had a clear call..go figure. I guess in short one could say that for "me personally" Nextel has become the Sprint monster that I paid $150 dollars to leave some years ago, and if I don't deserve to be informed about short term problems they may be having; they can go flog themselves with wet noodles. I had tried Cingular go-phone in the past and got some dropped calls but nothing like Nextel or Previously Sprint PCS. If Cingular doesn't work out I guess I can use tin cans and a string.
