AWFUL! I live just behind Whole Foods and I can't even get decent service anywhere in the house. Have to go outside on the roof with a ladder to call important clients! Have an AT&T Micro Cell but that's useless too

Reception itself is good, but ATT data network repeatedly fails. Several times a month I will have good signal and no data transfer. ATT will occasionally acknowledge network problems, but generally only after extensive troubleshooting of my handset.

Just moved here from SC and the reception is terrible. For a metro area you would think they would have better coverage. No 3g most of the time. I have the Iphone so I can surf and call. Pointless here. But reviews of other carriers is just as bad. Come on Miami work this out!

Just moved to 15th floor of a highrise. Very poor reception, people can't hear me, calls drop if I move. Can't get more than 3 bars, even on the balcony. Used to live on the beach at 63rd and Collins and got excellent reception there.

My apt faces the ocean, decent reception unless I go into the bathroom, where it drops noticeably.

I could really rate the reception as 0 (No reception) inside my apartment on Collins and 60th. I am looking to switch cell phone companies because ATT SUCKS in that area. I literally cannot make any calls nor receive any calls when I am at home inside my apt. Ordering from a restaurant takes at least 5 phone calls. I REFUSE to get a land line so I am looking desperately for a new cell phone company. It seems from this site that Verizon may be my best choice.

Really sub-par performance. Dropped calls about 5% of the time. Echoes on many calls. Scratchy, 'digital' sound. Especially bad late afternoon. Cingular says it's my building (I live on 23rd floor) and that cell phone service is designed to work only on the fourth floor or below. Well, in Miami about half of the population lives in high rises, so that really doesn't cut it. I can also clearly see a cell tower about 1,000 feet to the northeast. Also, almost no service on the other Venetian Islands, or on MacArthur Causeway or I-195 from Miami to the Beach. Cingular says that they "gurantee service" but that they cannot "guarantee it will work." Whatever. Yet another dissapointing experience with a quais-monopoly business. Other areas that are problems: Four Seasons Hotel on Brickell, American Airline Concourse D at MIA. The beach, south of 8th street.

Drops the calls every time. Cingular sucks. The merger with AT&T has not helped. Considering a switch to T-Mobile or Verizon. Both are top ranked throughout the country.
