I think it may the phone (granted though there are not a lot of cell towers in miami beach... only get reception by window while indoor (almost all of the time I have to go on the balcony to get reception).

AT&T's GSM network is the absolute worst. Half of the time, when I try to place a call in the evening, I get a big red stop sign that says "system busy." When the sytem is not busy, my phone calls last only two to three minutes before they are dropped. Quite often, I dial a saved phone number (that I know is correct), and get some random person's phone. Conversely, I recievce misrouted phone calls from other AT&T customer.

I could really rate the reception as 0 (No reception) inside my apartment on Collins and 60th. I am looking to switch cell phone companies because ATT SUCKS in that area. I literally cannot make any calls nor receive any calls when I am at home inside my apt. Ordering from a restaurant takes at least 5 phone calls. I REFUSE to get a land line so I am looking desperately for a new cell phone company. It seems from this site that Verizon may be my best choice.

Very poor reception and some areas no reception in all and to many dropping calls.

Nextel really sucks! No reception whatsoever. It doesnt make sense. I get reception when I am near the water. Pretty scary.

This just happened... I don't understand... Metro used to be great in my apartment, full bars - three at worst - but now I am at 0-2 bars all the time since about three months ago... is there a tower out or something?

Just moved to 15th floor of a highrise. Very poor reception, people can't hear me, calls drop if I move. Can't get more than 3 bars, even on the balcony. Used to live on the beach at 63rd and Collins and got excellent reception there.

Inside the building the reception is mediocre. Drop calls all the time.

I am at this site to pick my new service company. My Nextel phone is useless here.

Everywhere I go I get good signal, sometimes even inside of elevators. The only two spots I had some minor trouble has been in my inhouse office (tiny) and in the bathroom. Suxs that it's at home, but I limit my self from talking there but besides that anywhere.
