Lucky if you can get 1 bar of reception when south east of main hwy and ingram hwy. No cell towers and unlocked phones equal no reception.

With T-Mobile I get great signal at home. 5 bars and on the Samsung I use the data plan to get on and use Edge, seeing about 18k / sec down max tethered to my laptop.

I can't use my phone in my apartment on the 24th floor. I have to walk outside onto the balcony and move the phone around in hopes of getting one bar. The same went for my office in downtown Miami on the 22nd floor. It is horrible. Sprint and Miami don't seem to mesh well. I used the same phone in Tampa and didn't have any complaints.

There seem to be shadows of coverage in this area. You can have decent reception, and take a step in any direction and lose your call.

South of Main Hwy. is a huge dead zone that begins by the Vanguard School and gets worse as you get closer to the ocean.

I have never had any problems with reception. PERIOD. It's so good, I can make a phone call in the middle of my school in a closet without a problem. On a trip to Orlando, I've observed the bars on my phone go up and down several times, but I think that's just going from tower to tower. Verizon's the only service I know that can get this kind of comment. I think Verizon's the best.

I've tried 5 different types of phones and they all have poor ATT (Cingular) reception. After the calls are completed, they're quickly dropped. People who use Sprint and T-Mobile at this location do MUCH better.

Reception goes from 5 bar to zero. Pulsates up and down. Cant use the phone in the house without loosing signal within a minute or so, and I even have some difficulty outside near the house. The U.S cell system is very third world

The worst. Dropped calls constantly... if you can even connect. Can't even use at home. It's a company phone, so I have no choice.

I get plenty of bars. But I have so many zones that my phone doesn't work. I get an annoying beep trying to call from way too many areas. It is very disappointing. Cingular used to be excellent, I would get good signal almost everywhere. Now, I can't get through half the time. Sucks.

Fot the past 6 months the reception in my home is very poor. I had to come out of my home to make call. Never once received a call inside my home. As suggested by Customer service bought the best NOKIA phone; still the same problem. I want to switch to Cingular or Verizon; don't have any clue which one will work best.

Miami Shores has never had good coverage (by any carrier). I've tried multiple carriers with not much luck. My PDA signal here is 1 bar if we're lucky (signal in house is worse then outside), but PDA internet and texting are fairly good.

I bought 2 T-Mobile phones for my wife and I. There is no reception in my house. When we want to make a call we have to go outside, but we have to walk around the yard to see if at least we can get 1 little bar. However, you are lucky if your call stays connect for more than 2 minutes. The service in the 33161 area is HORRIBLE. I would hate to get stuck somewhere in the 33161 zip code and use my T-Mobile phone to call for help. T-Mobile (Terrible-Mobile)
