Very poor reception all over. Nearly no reception indoors. Absolutely none in large buildings, garage, elevator, etc. Many dropped calls, signal faded, etc. One service technician claimed PDA phones like this just get poorer reception. Maybe consider using tin cans and string.

Horrible! You don't like to get more than 2 bars? You like to receive calls from strangers because AT&T mixes up calls at random? Love to dial a friend and get someone else instead? Love it when the phone has no signal at all at least 3 times a day? Then sign up now to AT&T GSM, they will give you all that and then more...

I switched from great AT&T analog in Jan 2004 to poor T-Mobile GSM, especially within buildings. I made the mistake of putting our entire company on the T-Mobile plan. Though outdoor service is OK, I cannot use the phone to consistently receive phone calls within my house, as signal varies from 1 go 4 bars while standing still. Poor reception within most buildings. All my co-workers are on same plan tot take advantage of free mobile-to-mobile. But the sevice is useless since we are always dropping calls when calling from cell to cell. We are all using Samsung phones (E105's and E715's). And we originally thought the problem was with the phones, but others using Motorolas complain about the same reception problem. We have another employee in Baton Rouge, LA with a Samsung E105 who cannot make or receive any calls from within the house. Calls are always dropping as well. Cell plans are very attractive but at the expensive of reception. I can't wait to go back to AT&T / Cingular.

One of the worst Cingular phones ever purchased. I do not recommend it to no one. Either it's no service, the number cannot be completed as dialed or it switches to roaming and you get charged.

I usually get no reception past the gate of the entire community. This is the case with almost all providers (Cingular, T-Mobile, and Sprint tested). Each of these with multiple phones.

I get good reception at just about any location in Dade / Broward counties. I used to have a GSM phone/service with AT&T and had all kinds of low signal levels and dropped calls. The phone was cute and small, but the reception with GSM was lousy. I changed to good old reliable TDMA, and the basic brick-like Nokia 2260 get the job done very well. The number of bars seems irrelevant. Even at the minimum one bar display, the reception is still good. Little or no dropped calls. TDMA still rules!

The phone shows all bars but the person on the other side says your breaking up, when they are on a land line. I travel from miami to ft lauderdale twice a day and never can count on the at&t service. I dont recommend it.

Only had the phone/service a few days, but,
In my house 0-1
Drive to work 1-2
At Work (near Golden Glades) 0-2
New service with Sprint. ATT was generally poor in this area (but a 'bit' better). Throughout most of Florida, ATT was ...OK. Haven't travelled with the present phone/service).
Taking it back to Sprint in the AM too see if it a problem with the phone.

The Samsung is working slightly better than my horrid old Sony Ericsson T68i did, but I still have no reception in my home, unless I'm near a window. ATT also seems to have a problem with dropped calls and voicemail messages that occasionally appear after a long delay.

Generally speaking, service with VZW has been good except inside of my apartment complex. That said, I will state that I have had good service with them (Verizon) in their various forms (i.e. PrimeCo) since 1996. Additionally, their national coverage cannot be beat in the areas to which I frequently travel (DC, Chicago, Detroit, Lansing, Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, MI, Dallas and Houston). Customer service is also good. After having been with Cellular One/AT&T and Bellsouth Mobility/Cingular, I would not change from Verizon for anything in the world.
