No major issues at all over past 7 years. Inside just as good. Also work on my phone in mid-town Naples on 41. No issues there either. Was just thinking about switching over to Alltel due to great plan but can't find any current info on their coverage.

Just upgraded today from an LG flip phone to the iPhone 4G, out of my first 10 calls and I have not been able to complete any of them without dropping the call have to go outside. The LG worked all the time. Have to return the new iPhone.

Cell service in Naples is the worst I have ever experienced with Verizon. Some areas in naples have OK coverage but at my house and the apartment I used to live in get maybe 1-2bars and drop calls all the time. When the call does not drop the call is not clear, often loose words here and there during a conversation. Really terrible service :( The only thing I can figure is they don't put up enough cell towers because they are afraid of hurricanes.

Use Verizon Droid as primary phone (no land line). Reception with Droid has one, maybe two bars throughout condo. Callers complain that conversations or messages are garbled. Very poor service.

Verizon reception is good in Willoughby Acres unless you live on the West end where I live, then it drops from 4 bars to about 1-2 bars. I'm not sure if it is my new Driod X, but my older HTC Alltel phone got better reception even before Verizon bought them out. Even though I may have one or two bars inside, I haven't had any dropped calls. Very rarely does it go to voicemail without ringing. I had AT&T about 2 years ago here at same spot and I was lucky to get 1 bar. Dropped calls all the time. Terrible dead spot in the neighborhood.

Dr. Spammy sez: In Berkshire Lakes, the phone only rings about half the time when in my home. When the phone doesn't ring, the calls go directly into voicemail. If I'm talking on the phone and walk into my laundry room, the call is dropped. This only happens in my home. In the rest of the country, I get adequate service.

Even though the bars are few, we still get very good reception and very seldom lose a call.

I only get a bar or bar and half inside the house, but reception is very good with no dropped calls. Reception has been very good throughout the Naples area.

better then Sprint wirless and outstanding compair to Cingular T-Mobile stinks in this area

Reception is good enough to use as my only business phone. Only downside is Verizon's lack of selction in new phones but, I wouldn't think of swithching carriers because Verizon customer service is very good and the reports from Cingular and especially Sprint users are horrific.

Reception has always been an issue at our house. I was on AT&T / Cingular analog for years, but I hated their customer service. A month an a half ago I switched to Verizon when their sales rep at the mall assured me that there were 2 towers out in the Estates. I had so many dropped calls and long distance calls were out of the question. I even had problems getting calls off of 5th Ave. downtown. The tech support woman at Verizon was very nice and she did find that they can't meet my needs. They are letting me out of my 2 year contract with no hassle. Alltel assured me that they have great coverage out here, but after reading this web page I'm leary of that. Verizon says that they'll be making improvements in the Estates in 2006.

Verizon's coverage and customer service has been top notch. I have had very little trouble getting a good if not great signal just about anywhere I've gone - Naples and around the country. I work in a government building and unfortunately, this is where Verizon (and other cell companies (even Nextel) suffer. As for the customer service, they upgraded me to a better battery for the same price when the one I wanted wasn't available... as well, they gave me their own charger from the back room when a new one was no longer available. Sweet! When looking for a good cell company, look at the whole package (coverage, service, price). Verizon may not be the cheapest, but ounce for ounce you won't be disappointed with them.

When I was at the corner of Pine Ridge and Airport Road, the reception was 5-6 bars all digital on LG's VX6000. Most of Verizon's phones will work around Naples, FL.
