No reception, or if one bar, dropped calls. When calling, it takes up to 3 minutes to drop and prompt call cannot be completed. AT& has drastically reduced their tower leases and band-width in the Naples - Ft. Myers corridor... to save money. They use a series of much-cheaper repeaters, which don't work very well. They reasoned that the summer season has less people and needed less coverage.

No reception anywhere in older naples

Terrible! Ever since I recieved this phone in January. Numerous drop calls. Gargled voices with 1 to 2 bars. I dropped my land line, have to get it back because I cant rely on this phone. I think it is the phone because I had no problems before.

Whats going on with nextel??? Ive been with Nextel for a year. It was the best service when I started a year ago, WTF is going ?? Calls beeing dropped and no service in areas that hard full service a year ago. Not very happy any more

Extremely spotty reception. Goes from 3 bars to 1 bar to dropped calls all inside our condo. NO reception outside in the open parking area or on Gulf Shore Blvd. Extremely frustrated with AT&T. Love the iPhone and hate the AT&T coverage. Dropped calls very common. Same experience with my wife's 3GS iPhone.

Expect dropped calls all the time with Metro PCS. I had this phone and service in Miami, and it is pretty good reception there. However, when I moved to Naples, I noticed that the reception is terrible inside any building, and most of the time I did not get calls. Once outside a building, I would see messages had been left for me. On a typical phone call while driving around in Naples, after 1 minute any call drops no matter where I was at. Metro PCS gets terrible reception in Naples.

Get no reception at my office starting yesterday morning. Once I get closer to home, reception improves. The Indians I talk to at T-Mobile have no clue

Dr. Spammy sez: In Berkshire Lakes, the phone only rings about half the time when in my home. When the phone doesn't ring, the calls go directly into voicemail. If I'm talking on the phone and walk into my laundry room, the call is dropped. This only happens in my home. In the rest of the country, I get adequate service.

Even though the bars are few, we still get very good reception and very seldom lose a call.

Reception is good at location, however, inside stores and certain areas of interstate, I get no service. Numerous dropped calls ALL the time with this company, as well as calls that go straight to voice mail! For as many big money people that live in this area, all these cell phone companies need to step up the service in Naples, FL! I have reviewed many coverage maps of all cell companies and all lack reception capabilities in this area. Best has been Alltel and Cingular, although, they do not have phones that are desirable or trendy. Stay away from Sprint / Nextel!

I live off Radio, just up from Santa Barbara. Cingular gies me 2 - 4 bars in my home, but the reception on the calls is not good in my home, it's a little better outside.

better then Sprint wirless and outstanding compair to Cingular T-Mobile stinks in this area

Wow, can a cell phone be any more useless. To say the signal sucks would be an understatement. Also, I am convinced that chimpanzees could provide better customer service.

reception is hit and miss but inside my apartment it is poor. If I go out onto the lanai it is at least usable. I was wondering if it was the phone?

Just upgraded today from an LG flip phone to the iPhone 4G, out of my first 10 calls and I have not been able to complete any of them without dropping the call have to go outside. The LG worked all the time. Have to return the new iPhone.

Use Verizon Droid as primary phone (no land line). Reception with Droid has one, maybe two bars throughout condo. Callers complain that conversations or messages are garbled. Very poor service.

Incoming reception is hit and miss; there are 1-2 bars. I have to walk to very specific spots, measured almost in inches, inside and outside the house so that the person on the other end of the line can hear me.

Almost no indoor reception. Spotty outdoor reception. Had phone changed over to the Cingular system, indoor reception improved slightly.
