T-Mobile WAS OK; now is the WORST. There is hardly any reception anywhere. I get messages days after being left; missed calls left and right when phone shows full reception, it doesn't even ring. Have tried with 6 different phones (Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Nokia, ATT, Samsung, and LG) but reception still extremely bad. When I call T-Mobile they tell me is my phone; after trying the 6 different ones, they told me they were "fixing antennas in my area". B.S. Unless they have been fixing their antennas for the last 9 months. I'm stuck with contract, and can't wait to be released and switch.
Nextel has been completely unhelpful regarding there medieval service in Sunny Isles Beach, Fl. They have claimed damaged towers due to Katrina and Wilma are the main problems: hogwash, I say. It seems only Nextel customers seem to have this problem. I have asked to switch to Sprint their supposed partner, no way without penalty, they say. YUK
Nextel has to be the worst reception ever... .How did this company get so big and suck so bady? Once you leave Sunny Isles you will get good signal. It might have something to do with all the recent developments around the area. There are hundreds of new buildings with all concrete construction. Go with Sprint (it operates as Metro PCS, in that area I believe) you will have full bars everywhere! I have Sprint PCS and travel around the country quite often, it has yet to fail me.
Spotty reception at home, even worse at work (North Bay Village). However, I've always found the customer service to be quite helpful. The phone is dreadful! I'm on my second phone in less than 18 months. The first phone became useless when the screen died, and the second one (my current phone) is now useless as the earpiece in the handset no longer works. I wont resign with T-Mobile, but they are not as bad as Sprint who were appalling!
Have been a Cingular customer for ten years-it continually improves. Rock solid reception almost everywhere in Miami-Dade county. Service in Cingular stores is VERY bad, I deal with them online only now, including upgrading phones and changing plans.
