AT&T
My iphone was working fantastic for the last 3 years. I don't know what AT&T did to their network, but I can make NO calls from my house lasting more than 2 minutes. I can hear the person, but they can't hear me. I purchased a new iphone 1 yr and 1 / 2 ago, and Apple has changed my iphone twice with brand new phones. It didn't help. It's the AT&T network at fault since 3 phones fail to give good coverage.

AT&T
No reliable coverage. Repeatedly get one bar or less. At best two bars when everything goes well and you are on a roof.

Verizon
Verizon coverage is good but the service is terriable There answer for everything is upgrade your phone which of cousrse did not fix my problems. When you go into the store on 19th ave they are more interested in selling more expensive service or upgrading the phone. Went to the Pay as You Go plan with a basic phone the problem was solved finally after four years and 2 new phones. I want the smart phone so now I am trying a new company. Sorry these cooperate stores in Ocala could care less about you and Verizon when they escalated the call never called back. If you want a simple phone unlimited their pay as you go plan is good, and seems to not have the same problems.

T-Mobile
Coverage on campus is pretty good outside, hit or miss inside. At home (34476 area) I get full bars most of the time and very fast downloads. I haven't had really any problems when outside or driving with reception, but T-Mobile's service seems to still have trouble penetrating large buildings. I'm satisfied enough to stay with them.

Sprint
0-1 bars indoors and can rarely complete a call. Data speeds are extremely slow. Throughout town signal strength varies widely, but generally doesn't exceed 2 bars for long. Data is slow pretty much everywhere.

Verizon
this will all depend on your phone if you get 3g or 4g and how old it is. I had a regular phone nothing smart about it and it sucked wind but since I got this smart phone I have solid bars most everywhere I go within ocala. I don't drop calls other than the sensitivity on the phone itself if my hair touches the phone it will hang up the call but not due to lost signals. the smart phones are the way to go today and if you have issues with it within the first week take it back and insist they give you a replacement phone about 7 years ago I wish I had been as clever as I am now and pushed people to do what they should do about the hype and promise of the service they offer and lack of performance you end up with never again you are paying so make them preform for you. never again will I be nice when it comes to paying for something that isn't what they crack it up to be,, shame on the hype and scam arists..

Sprint
inside, forget it, outside if you hold one leg up and put your finger in the ground.

No reception inside house, phone will roam periodically. Even when outside service is poor.

Sprint
Continuously drop calls 30ft inside of a building. I don't know if it's the phone or the service. Sometimes it takes a long time to connect to the internet while outside. Then sometimes the signal is great.

Sprint
reception is poor on phones and air card. Sprint not much help at sorting this out. I received nominal improvement installing a wilson electronics exterior antenna. i'm waiting for the contract on this phone to expire and go elsewhere, been with Sprint for over 11 years and they don't care.

Verizon
Excellent service for years with Motorola VZ clamshell phone. Changed to Droid Eris - Verizon had me buy a network extender, then replaced the Droid Eris, upgrade my internet connection speed, AND I still have dropped. Despite several visits to the office, and numerous calls to Technical Support--- NO Answer. Considering consulting an attorney for advice on how to proceed.

T-Mobile
I was hesitant to switch from Sprint to T-mo but I'm more than impressed, I get good coverage all over town for calls and data.

T-Mobile
Stay away from T-Mobile... I was told I would have "excellent reception" at my address and after going into contract found out that the reception was "Moderate" meaning that I would have reception occasionally. And, they actually expect me to pay for a phone that would work "sometimes / occasionally" and is not guranteed to work in case of an emergency. I figured that I should also pay them "sometimes / occasionally" it would only be fair... Stay away from T-Mobile or get all your questions answered in writing.. use the chat and print.

AT&T
I have very good service with AT&T all over town. I can't complain at all.

AT&T
I am missing calls and messages on both my phone and my wife's phone. Sometimes the caller will get no ring and it will go straight to my voice mail. Other times it rings on their end, but not on my phone. This is very frustrating. AT&T coverage map says I should have "best" coverage... obviously not.

Verizon
One or two bars. Sometimes no bars. Dropped calls most days. I have complained repeatedly to no avail. They even offered to release me from my contract with no penalty They can't improve their service so they just want to get rid of me.

Verizon
I frequently have to step outside the house, a great inconvenience in these cold days, to be able to speak for any length of time. I feel Verizon should have a tower closer to us in this area.

Verizon
I hate going outside to talk but only one intermittent bar makes for a lousy conversation. Out in the yard I get 2 bars. Sometimes.

T-Mobile
It is amazing that with todays technology, T-Mobile can't seem to provide service in many areas. AT&T and Verizon appear to dominate T-Mobile in coverage. When my plan is up, I will try another carrier, I am tired of not being able to use something that I pay for "SERVICE".

Verizon
Never really had any problems. Even inside. Surprisingly my VZaccess broadband gets 3-4 bars on my kitchen table.

Sprint
Inside house zero reception, can stand outside in the yard and get poor reception. Not much fun in the rain! At work on SR 40 1 mile west of I-75 get decent reception, then for no reason go into roaming. Extremely poor reception overall.

Alltel
I have an older Motorola which works fine but my wife's LG drops all calls at home for past 5-6 wks---2 trouble tickets and 2 refurbished LGs later plus a switch to Motorola phone have not solved the problem. Told we need to upgrade to a new model cellphone when seems to be a reception issue? Alltel technical cannot figure out the problem with reception even though cell tower only 2 miles away on Hwy. 40. Will likely switch to another provider and take my entire family with me and screw their contracts.

AT&T
On my phone I normally have 4 to 1 bar in my house the coverage I am getting is AT&T s 3G network which FINALLY came to slocala. But my dad has the Motorola razor V3xx and always have 5 bars lol. Normally on my cell when I come closer into town around my school and the mall I have better coverage and I normally get 5 - 4 bars

Sprint
1 bar at home and always dropping calls all over Marion County. Sprint sucks.

T-Mobile
no bars inside. Sometimes can get one bar outside. Frequent dropped calls. Customer support says we should change SYM Card. Sounds like a sales pitch rather than a solution. They also suggested switching to a Nokia phone.
