I pretty much get really good coverage inside my house and around the area but there are spotty areas throughout the city. Overall it sounds like there's not to many companies to choose from because everyone has a problem in one area or another. For me right now T-Mobile to working but it does drop calls every now and again.
NO SERVICE! Plus a recent trip to south Florida, a new phenomena occured--My "number" and all Cingular numbers are no longer in service going through Orlando area (60 mile radius). In south Florida, I would not receive calls, but did get a message alert. Tried 10x to dial for messages and either had the "redialing" mode or told I had misdialed and try again. Went to Cingular service center, reports: Ocala has 15 towers down and being worked on, with no time table. Gainesville is worse--19 towers are out. South Florida has 1 tower out, and unknown why service was lousy... Why pay for a cell phone with o service? Was told that 2008 we all will have to have new phones!
I have used Sprint for over 6 yrs. In the beginning I had fair to good reception in the Ocala area, but not when traveling. Sprint has been busy! The last three yrs have seen a great improvement in their coverage across the US! Just wish they would offer their long time customers a nice break on phones like they do for new customers! Overall recommendation for phone service 9 of 10!
Sprint service is largely acceptable. My cell phone is my only phone so I need it to work. I recently found a dead area out HWY 27 towards Williston which I hadn't noticed before. Reception is below average to poor in many larger commercial type buildings. Personally, I don't mind this so much. Dropped calls are not too bad but do occur from time to time. Service is quite good into the Orlando and Tampa areas. Also, a dead zone exists in the Ocalal National Forest (which you might expect). Overall, I have used Sprint in three states over the past six years and would recommend it.
I have Cingular ATT and since it has been taken over, we get spotty reception at this location. BUT my big BEEF is my husband and I can no longer call each other on our cell phones for the most part. Even with full bars and from one end of the house to the other. Cingular has reset our phones, we turn them off once a week and we take out and reset the Syms card, all to no avail. I am wondering which service to sign up for now, since there is no way we can reach each other in an emergency, dependably.
No reception inside, poor reception outside. Have had ATT / Cingular for 4 yrs, and as of last month, I can get NO signal inside of my house. What's the change? Cingular says they are upgrading their systems, what ever that means. It's been over 1 month with out service. I have threatened to leave and they credited 1 week of service. How much business did I lose from not being able to get calls? Probably a lot. Boycott Cingular.
Marion Oaks is HORRIFIC, Poor Cell serivce or none at all... . Poor Sprint land lines, most of the area has NO DSL OR CABLE so a 45.2K is as good as you will get for internet serivce. Poor is not the word for this area!
I use my Sprint phone as my only phone and I rarely have any problems anywhere. I have had my phone and service for over 2 years and it has been the same the whole time. During the hurricanes of the last 2 years I never lost service at all.
