I live 2 1 / 2 miles from I75 and I can see the cell tower. I pay roaming charges for use in my driveway. If I travel south.3 mile, I hit a dead spot that lasts for 2 miles. Reception is like FM (line of sight) radio.
have to regularly drive 2-3 miles away from home towards Ocala to get decent reception. Can not run a business with this carrier. I hear it is the same with most / all carriers. Sprint says it has a stronger tower signal in this area... we'll see...
I have made several calles to Verizon on having no signal in my area. What ever happened to your problem is our problem. Well my problem has never been solved by Verizon I am told that they are adding towers in this new development but I still have to pay a $93.00 a month bill and have nothing but droped calls they even admit when they see the dropped calls but make no adjustments to the bill. So I guess my calls to Verizon fall on dead ears oh yes they answer the phone call but that is about how far it goes just keep billing me and billing me when will I be able to use my phone without having to go walk in the street to try to get reception. I can do better probably with two can and a wire. When will I get signal? My problem is your problem also.
Cingular has went from Great 5 Bars to 0 almost every where around Ocala, Florida. I pay 200 Dollars a month for PDA Access and Cell and they never work. I am really getting sick of them!. Raising the Bar my Foot!
I'm not sure about the model number of the phone, but I've been very happy with the performance of this phone and Virgin Mobile. I've had very few dropped calls, and almost always have signal just about anywhere in the Ocala area.
