We have to be upstairs and by a window to get a usable signal. Very few dropped calls though.

The Eagles West of Racetrack / Racetrack and Country Way, Odessa, FL 33556 |

I talked with Verizon several times since I am within 2 miles of 3 towers. It seems that all of the major carriers are having fights with the HOA in Westchase, Eagles and others for liocating towers in these areas. From looking at the towers, it appears the antenna panels are tilted down to reduce the distance of coverage. It seems intentional to me, but it doesn't bode well for customer service. Verizon said they have plans to build a new tower in 2006, and offered to let me cancel my service. From talking with my neighbors, it appears they have even worse service than I do.

no reception in our home area. Sprint has went out of their way to help me as a new customer. I was given at no charge the Airvana Box and it allows for 5 bars and works perfectly. The first box sent out was defective and was quickly replaced. I do hope in the future that Sprint can add a tower for my area, because I can not use my phone until I travel a 1 / 2 mile to the North towards SR54. The coverage map is close to accurate but off slightly for my home area.
