Always have 1 or no bars in my location. Inside my apartment on weekends surprisingly and during nights the reception on my phone goes up to 3 bars? Don't know why, but during the morning from 8am-6pm it's only 1 bar or less. Called AT&T and they said the tower was down, but it's been like this for 4 months. Have a new BB Torch 2 9810, so don't think it's due to my cell phone at all.

3G basically doesn't work in my area (for iPhone), so I am basically paying for 3G access while using a non 3G network. For some reason, I think iPhones do not work well with AT&T because my family's reception is fine but each of them have a different phone other than an iPhone. At work, I have no service at all - Econ near east Colonial - but my colleague has the same 3GS phone with Verizon and her reception is great...

Never a problem. Anywhere in this area. But... I've also yet to have any signal loss or dropped calls in the majority of Orlando. My only drop-out or "missed calls" are when heading to Cocoa Beach and about midway through, in the middle of nowhere, there's a temporary and small dead zone.

Once inside the convention center the reception is sporadic at best. I usually have no reception or 1 bar at best! According to AT&T, this area has the "best" covergage. If this is their best, I'm glad I dont have their worst. A friend that I work with has Verizon and consistently has 3 to 4 bars on the same RAZR model.

I switched to Cingular in response to their commercial about the fewest dropped calls. I cannot make a call from inside my house. I spoke to Cingular and the said that great coverage was available one street to the west of me. They also said that I lived in the middle of three of their towers. Still I cannot get more than 2 bars on a good day. To be honest, I had the same trouble with Nextel. I paid $200 to get out of the Nextel contract early and switch to Cingular. No one is offering a solution, just "I'm Sorry".

Cingular says they just don;t have a tower close by, nothing can be done.I can not believe that they (designeres of cell networks) can not put together a network that can cover major cities! In the house I have to position my phone just right, then use my bluetooth or else I do not get any signal! I would not recommend Cingular if they were the last Cell Phone company on earth!

Inside the Publix here however, signal dies - most likely due to the construction of the building; would be nice if Cingular could get permission to put up a tower much nearer to the Publix, so at least I could hold some signal in there.
