This phone sucks big-time around this area. 40% of the time, I can't even get a signal. And the 60% of the time that I do get a signal, it is at zero, 1 or two bars, and very rarely at 3 bars.
I've never had a problem with dropped reception or anything, and my plan is based in Massachusetts! It also works in my home on the other side of Orlando - 32819. People always ask to use my phone when their reception sucks, haha.
Phone is always on roam - never get a PCS signal. This is a recent development- used to have perfect service most everywhere in the Orlando area. My phone is on roam pretty much from 7-5 every weekday. Which is ok in an emergency, but who wants to pay 50 cents a minute - especially when the coverage used to be perfect??????
In my neighborhood and inside my house I get 3-4 bars on average. In the surrounding Waterford Lakes area I get 4-5 bars. Coverage is very good with TMO and I even had uninterrupted coverage during the hurricanes while my husband's Nextel was constantly unavailable.
The service is alright. I have really good reception elsewhere but this area needs a bit of work. sometimes I get dropped calls sometimes I wont. I guess it depends if its a cloudy or sunny day... thats florida and Cingular for u.
The cell reception is horrible from Cingular. Cingular says they just don;t have a tower close by, nothing can be done.I can not believe that they (designeres of cell networks) can not put together a network that can cover major cities! In the house I have to position my phone just right, then use my bluetooth or else I do not get any signal! I would not recommend Cingular if they were the last Cell Phone company on earth!
