I am constantly dropping calls or better yet - people call me and I don't get the missed call OR the call. My Samsung phone is a Razr-like model, very expensive. When I drive through Windermere - everyday - reception is sketchy at best. I'm looking for a new carrier ASAP.
The voice service is fairly decent throughout most of Orlando, FL, however Alltel doesn't cover the area yet -- you're roaming for free on Sprint and Verizon which doesn't include high-speed EvDO. If I had to live there for more than a year I would be forced to switch mobile providers due to the lack of EvDO.
I am originally from GA and I am going to school down here. I had AWESOME service where I lived and now in my apartment here I have 1 - 2 bars on average but sometimes I get 3 bars. I don't understand why moving from a relatively small town to a HUGE city I have worse service here then I did there? I am considering switching to T-Mobile
Very Spotty, lots of dropped calls. Usually get good reception anyway else but where I need it most, at home. I didn't have this problem until after Cingular was bought out by AT&T. Waiting patiently till my contract is up, might try Verizon.
I never get a dropped call and I can hear the voice loud and clear. I'm not exactly sure where a metroPCS tower is around me ( but I'm sure it's close to me) but it would be nice to know. So I have nothing to say bad about my service. I love it.
