I see cell towers at Rt 1 and 95, I guess they're not Verizon. Reception is very spotty, 1 / 2 to 1 maybe 2 bars. Loss of signal, loss of conversation, dropped calls.
On the beach directly across Tomoka basin, 6 miles north of Granada. Very poor reception on the street and nothing in the house. We've been through a number of different phones, all the same. Neighbors have same trouble.
Get great coverage no matter where I'm at. Great service, highly recommended. I travel often and never lose calls. Their wireless broadband cards for PC works well also.
Cell phone service works about equal to my cingular, not the best but usable. Direct Connect a joke, not usable as a communications device. Takes numerous attempts to talk, and drops say 30% of voice data. Words dropped are always the one word needed to convey information. A typical exchange would be, "Please call the customer at phone number 555-Garbage", or "Jim I need you to... garbage". our standard response to repeat is "you got Nextelled" And then its usually "give me a call from a landline". A Nextel tech confided to me they doubled the capacity of the "call boxes" (cell tower equipment) by halving the quality of service. I believe him. We will be switching to another carrier and using the free mobile to mobile calling for our business, ONCE OUR CONTRACT IS OVER.
Even driving throught The Trails and especially when I get home, I get little to no service. I drop calls non-stop even outside. Other locations on US 40 or US-92 area are fine. Interstates are fine.. This particular location is awful.
