I have been with Verizon for over a year and my phone worked great until I moved to Gables Montecito. Now my cell phone will not work inside my apartment at all. I have been over to Verizon 5 times in three days and no one can figure it out. The community I live in has 455 residents and no one that has Verizon seems to be having a problem but me. Anyone have any suggestions. I don't know what to do.
This is an old phone. I have dropped it, soaked it, kept it stuffed in my purse. But it still gets better reception than my husband's newer (but still 2 years old) phone (we are on the same Sprint plan). I don't get any reception at some part of the inside of the building where I work, but that is pretty much the only place I've had trouble here in Palm Beach. We are getting new phones soon and I hope my new one is at least as good as the one I have now.
Nextel must be the worst cell provider in the history of cell phones.Droped calls, late messages, call failed, cannot receive calls, cannot make calls, expensive phones, other than that I guess they are ok.
Reception is terrible. Phone may say that it has four bars of reception but with that being noted and said, after a conversation of 3 minutes, the phone will drop the call with an 'error message'. Upon trying to redial it gives you the same message. Switching to T-Mobile with sidekick, once service contract expires.
Cingular Coverage is HORRIBLE. I have a corporate Cingular acct and must constantly change to my personal Verizon phone to complete calls! Stay away - Customer Service could care less!
I got tired of dealing with my coverage issues at Sprint PCS and we moved all of our phones over to Cingular. The people in their store were fantastic and the coverage is very good - we are pleased and now are glad to be a part of Cingular's family.
West of the I-95 bridges is west of the cell tower. The bridges apparently impair reception in the immediate PGA BLVD and Military Trail intersection and about 1 / 4 mile radius. Transmission is fine, as the other party can hear your call, but reception and dropped calls is very poor.
