If I sit next to the window in the back bedroom I have reception. When any where else in the condo there is no service. Guess its time to switch carriers. Too bad as I have been with tmo for about 20 years. Guess they just don't care.

3 low 5 high but never a 3G signal. I only ever see 1X or 1 D. Overall signal strength is good, but the only place I have ever seen a 1XEV signal was over near Tyndall Air Force Base. As soon as I get within 3 miles of I-10 1XEV pops in and stays with me to 3 miles north. I wont get it again until I hit a Major city. 3 / 4 G is a total croc of crap.

I am here for vacation. My phone doesn't even attempt to show a bar in Panama City Beach. It just tells me,"No Service". AT&T obviously has no partnership for roaming down here either. Very disappointing!

I have had excellent service as far as good coverage for the past 5-6 years. Thursday after the tornados in birmingham area on the preceding wednesday... my reception bars went from 3-4 all the time to constant fluctuations, 2 bars, then 1 bar, then mabe three. 24 hours a day. cant' receive or make outgoing calls of course, two blocks down the road my signal is strong..Of course of the 10 or 12 people have spoken with no one knows the cause. today is the 11 th day and no service yet. thanks

NO reception inside our home and only get one bar outside so T Mobile service worthless. When complained to T MOBILE, after 5 calls to customer service, I was told this area was a "know area of poor reception", though nearest tower is 2.8 miles from us? So guess we'll select new carrier-very disappointing since have been with TMOBILE for over 10 yrs!

I've been with Verizon since the AirTouch days... 1995. It has always been great and seemed better than what others had until now. I'm in Atlanta and have never had a problem but now that I'm spending part of my time in FL (West PCB and 30A) I've had it with Verizon. The first incident was poor reception and inability to hold a call in our condo unit. Multiple conference calls where I was dropped and even sitting near the front bedroom window didn't help. I attempted to get it fixed and all tech support could offer was *228 over an over again and I finally had a tech at a local store take a look at my then Samsung i760 which I did not want to change. It worked okay for a day but continued to drop calls then upon returning about 3 weeks later the phone was worse and began locking up when a call was received not allowing me to pick up a call and forcing me to hard reset the phone every time I got a call (I was told they just merged or transitioned to Alltell towers…thanks for breaking my phone). No help from Verizon tech support and I was told to talk with Samsung along with updating the operating system. My phone was not recognized by my laptop so I was unable to update the software and the store could not update it either. So, I was screwed. No choice but to buy a new phone. I did and got a piece of crap Samsung (Omnia II)... impossible to type an email with the screen keyboard so now back in Atlanta I had to change out to the LG Phathom what a fiasco that was. Anyway, I returned to FL and was cussed out by a VP because I kept breaking up and I was dropped multiple times on subsequent conference calls. In the meantime visitors have no problems with their AT&T phones including my wife's AT&T phone. Verizon offered their network extender (plug into the internet to boost the signal) but at a charge of $250. They’ve subsequently offered to drop the price with a rebate but I'm not willing to pay to fix their crappy coverage. So, now I have no choice but to switch which pisses me off because I'm concerned about AT&Ts coverage elsewhere. In all my business travels Verizon has been great but now I find the one location where they refuse to address coverage. They said I don't show enough dropped calls (because I’m in Atlanta the majority of the time where the phone works…duh) and they need me to press ### or something every time I'm dropped. Right, before I call back into a conference call I'm going to flag the call as dropped... I don't have time for this crap. Their customer and technical support personnel have been pleasant but nobody cares if you switch so they won't give you the stupid network extender to keep you from leaving. Bad idea if you ask me. So, while I'm not a fan of AT&T because other colleagues have complained often about its coverage I'm left with no choice but to switch. Good luck to all that try to use a Verizon phone along Front Beach road condos and many parts of 30A. The coverage sucks and it’s been that way for years from what I’m finding out. Oh, even on the beach outside the phone goes in out and tries to roam…AT&T no problem.

tmobile tower is at hwy 79 and across from city hall it looks like a big concrete power pole not a cell tower so that is why we have bad service here

Anywhere north of Hwy. 98 where my apartment complex is is almost non-existent. I will miss calls and texts in my apartment because service is usually unavailable in my apartment. I have a Verizon work cell phone that gets a good signal in my apartment so I would stay away from AT&T if you live on the beach side of town anyway.

Love Verizons network. Recently switched over from AT&T. AT&T has a HORRIBLE network here. Dropped calls, slow data, ect. I don't see how that one guy is having good service with AT&T. Love Verizon. My whole family is now switching over from AT&T.

Moving to Florida to Wild Heron development, between 30A and Panama City Beach. There is no reception to very poor reception unless you are on the beach, 2 miles south of my home. I don't want to drive to the beach to be able to use my mobile phone (relatively new phone). Yikes!

iPhone 3GS / AT&T: LOL, it was a joke the entire time we were there... 3G is nonexistant and if youre lucky you can get 2 bars on Edge. The whole place is terrible for cell reception. Side note -Destin is just as bad.

I have had several cell phone carriers and they are really all the same when it comes to coverage. There will always be areas that do not have coverage no matter what service that you have. Keep in mind if you have a medal roof (like if you live in a trailer) that will be the reason that you do not receive coverage inside your home. Nextel says to turn your phone off and on when traveling so that your phone can connect with the closest tower. This has worked for me so you may want to give it a try. It is also important to turn your phone off and on once a day so that it can reregister with the towers giving you the best and clearest signal. The best thing about Nextel is that I will never receive roamig charges months later as I have with other carriers... no surprises! As far as others comments about Nextels service being worse after the merger that is crazy because the two services work on different towers. Nextel is a IDEN network and not compatable with the Sprints network. So that can not have any impact on the service. If anyone ever comes up with the perfect service they will make a mint... .good luck!

Usually I get 3 or 4 bars outside, which isn't too bad. Inside, though, I get a very iffy 2 bars. Kind of disappointing for such a high traffic area. So unless you're outside don't count on great reception.
