I get good reception with my phone, but it's unbelievable how often my calls get dropped. It's impossible to maintain a call for longer than 20 minutes. Even a 10 minute phone call is a stretch. What a waste of money... very unsatisfied.

Get good Sprint signal throughout Callaway... Not sure why some complain about it. I've had Sprint for a loooooong time and it's still going strong! Apparently, WALMART is a problem for many people and carriers... .it's funny because I've been in walmarts all over this country and this one in callaway seems to be the only stubborn one! lol.

I have had good coverage throughout Panama City with T-Mobile. The only place I couldn't get coverage was over the DuPont Bridge in and around Tyndall AFB. They have since put up a tower and T-Mobile added a cell, so the problem has been remedied.

I use a Net10 phone which rents towers from differ ent companies in different areas. In Panama City. I think is mostly Cingular but could also be others. I am pleased with the service ( averages $15 / mo for 150 min). But there are two big dead spots. From Star ave. and Old Bicycle Rd to 2297 and from there into Allanton. Also from Star and Hwy. 22 to 2297 and down to Allanton. Reception in Allanton and everywhere else in Panama City Area is great!

I have used Sprint since moving to Bay County Fl in '04, the service in the rural ares as always been sub-par,either low reception or dropped calls no matter the make and model of the phone(unless roaming, which it generally needs for coverage in these areas ex; Bayou George,Southport, however,in town, like Lynn Haven or out on the beach,i get anywhere from average to perfect signal,i have heard from co-workers and friends that Verizon's coverage in the rural areas is better,i'm considering a switch at the end of the year, but not fully convinced that there is a perfect carrier,i fear I will trade one problem area for another.

I barely get a bar in my apartment and sometimes it will go to two bars. I have many dropped calls. Not sure if its the phone or cell tower in general. Sidekick II is more of a data phone so I'm wondering if a different phone would work. Have spoken with T-Mobil help but they have not responded about cell reception. Probably won't go with them again. I had good luck with Sprint and Sanyo phones but disliked billing practices.

I moved to Panama City a month ago (end of October, 2011). At the office, I show the 3G logo but have no bars and I'm lucky to be able to get text messages. A mile away, at home, I can place and receive calls but I haven't been able to send a picture by SMS since I got here.
