We have had Alltel for almost two years now and have had a few complaints but overall, the service is great. Had a few dropped calls (standard for any wireless carrier), great for going out of town and state, handsets tend to act weird when using bluetooth technology, very limited selection of upgraded phones, top 10 friends list that you can call for free, not good at sending picture messages with older models, and very good with bargaining for lower billing prices.

No drop calls at all, I talk all day on the phone. I call NY, MA, CT, NH, CA and NJ from FL. I pay half of what I use to pay with Nextel.

Service is great, never have any problems. Been here for a year already and not one dropped call. A must in this area. Can drive on I95 from PSL down to West Palm and not drop a call. Nextel has some great plans since they merged with Sprint. The 2 way walkie talkkie is the way to go but please be courtious in public places while using it. We dont need to hear other peoples conversations. The Walkie talkie can be used through the ear piece but many people dont read the books on their phones so they just dont know.

Very poor reception in "The Lakes" community. off of Traditions Pkway. Need to be outside of home in order for cell call to work even slightly. On going lose of calls. Incoming and outgoing. Cingular phn users around me are able to use there phones perfectly from inside there homes. Been advised Verizon does NOT have a cell tower in this area to accomodate us

Got phone because of unlimited minutes during the day. Dropped calls even when talking to Metro Pcs. Lousy service. Tried travel talk 4 call,s cost me 25.00. Would not refund balance because they feel they deserve tyhe money. Have to pay up front and then you are dead because they have your money. Checking verisone and Cingular for my next provider.

Switched to T-Mobile in January and it is horrible. I only have 1 bar at home, and have absolutley no reception at all if I am at the Jensen Beach mall or Target. Had awesome coverage with Cingular using a TDMA plan. I love the features on my phone, but people call me and it goes straight to voice mail. I will show that I missed a call and my phone never rang. I am so glad that I only signed up for 1 year of service. Cannot wait to swithc bacj to Cingular.

Honestly I don't think that it is the service. I have had Cingular and previously ATT for years and had great service. I purchased 4 Motorola RAZR phones and I have never had worse reception in all my life. My wife just switched from her $200 RAZR to a cheap Nokia and has full bars everywhere she goes. I'm telling you it is the phone. I had an old Nokia before I bought the RAZR and had perfect reception with no dropt calls. For Cingular to say that they are "the company with the least drop calls" they better take the RAZR off the market because it will lose business for them. I work for the Fire Dept and my family has to leave when the hurricanes come in south FL. well I like to talk to them throughout the storm and was unable to last year so maybe with the new Sony Ericson W600I I'll do better.

HORRID! We have actually been on the phone speaking to someone when the other person will hear a operator come on and say that this phone is not a working number.. in the middle of the call and then drop ?!? why they don't build a tower or 12 is beyond me - but they lost US as customers! Verizon here we come -- and believe me - I am not happy about that - Verizon has ugly phones :( but good service -- sigh...

Cingular sucks in PSL. Dead zones everywhere = lots of dropped calls... I had US Cellular / Nokia before and if I ever dropped a call I knew it was the other party.

Have to constantly go outside to get a signal. Constantly dropping calls. Signal is also bad in St. Lucie West Area. Looking for new provider!
