RECEPTION Really good reception at home and on major roads in Rockledge and surrounding towns (Viera, Cocoa, Merritt Island, Cocoa Beach). I use to work at Kennedy Space Center and got the best reception with Verizon. It is the only provider that worked well, especially inside most of the facilities. I had T-Mobile, and Sprint. Sprint was downright awful at KSC. T-Mobile is decent, but only outside (this also applies to using it at home in Rockledge). Melbourne has some trouble spots, for example near Lake Washington on I-95. But for the most part, is a little above average. No dropped calls, but my phone takes an unusual amount of time to connect (on average fifteen seconds). Very annoying. PHONE The only beef I have with Verizon is that my phone sucks (Motorola V325i - it is the free POS phone that I got with the family plan). The battery life on standby doesn't last 20 hours. On a full charge, I would be lucky to have an hour of talk time before the phone goes dead. Keep in mind keeping it is usually on standby so by the time I get around to actually using the cell phone during the day, I typically get a good fifteen minutes before the low battery warning goes off. You cannot charge the phone overnight since the battery life worsens since it is only able to retain a four hour max charge. The battery life has worsen as a result of charging overnight (a habit I had with my previous phones without severe consequences). I have to pay $2 to get a new single ringtone. I pay $1 for a full song on iTunes, and I have to pay $2 for a fifteen second ringtone? Instead, I tried sending midi files to my phone via email, but the phone translates the most files incorrectly and it sounds like a possessed Furby. No stopwatch, no timer nor alarm clock feature that works when the phone is turned off. Each contact must have an assigned Speed Dial number. It is irritating and difficult to move these numbers around. Must be part of the OS. SERVICE Customer Service is okay, I have had better with T-Mobile. Don't waste your time complaining to the sales representatives at Verizon, they won't budge. OVERALL I would be more satisfied if I had a better phone, especially one that doesn't suck so much battery life from all the extra "cool" features. I would have gone with a Nokia. Or maybe a Samsung.

Works great no problems, my Nextel phone sucks and this actually works. The rest of my job site uses Nextel and can never get reception when we travel, or even around town, they all use mine now, I need more minutes! Great problem to have that my phone works so well!

I have never had a problem getting reception anywhere in Brevard County with Verizon, occasionally I will drop down to 1 or 2 bars of reception but never dropped a call completly, purchased mine and my wifes phone at store at intersection of Murrell and Barnes, great cust care and great deal on bothe phones (buy one got one), coming from Cingluar (and my wifes Sprint phone) this was a major improvement in service and I am completly happy with my choice.

My house is generally a dead zone and other spots around Rockledge and Cocoa are generally hit or miss. A few places, the phone works great, but occasionally it suffers from dropped calls and horrible reception. Works much better in Merritt Island and in the Suntree / Viera area.
