Do NOT get Sprint if you travel from or to the Englewood area. Dead / drop zones at River Rd.and 41 just south on River Road; 776 and Gulfstream; 776 and River Rd.up to Manasota Beach road; and in my house. Terrible terrible service!

Most times Sprint reception is good, but there are a few spots that calls are often dropped or poor / no signal at all: Cape Haze and Placida Rd, Gulfstream around Marathon, Winchester between 776 and River Rd, Walgreen's on Oriole, Walmart in back of the store, 776 near Flamingo, Englewood Hospital is bad for all carriers--either no signal or digital roam with poor reception. Not sure what I will do when contract up in November. Am considering either ATT or Verizon. Friend has cheapie phone from ATT and never loses calls; but Sprint does have fairly good rate for our 3 phones and nights starting at 7 pm.

While the features of the Blckberry 8700 are great and very useful, the T-Mobile FAILS miserably in the primary use of a mobile telephone - the ability to communicate through the medium of radio telephony! I have NO reception in my home and I have to walk aimlessly around my yard or out into the street to sometime get marginaly quality signal. The Blackberry drops more calls that it holds on to! This is true in all of the geographic markets that I have been in during the past year - everywhere from NYC, Washington, DC, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans, Chicago, Houston, Denver, Idaho Falls, San Francisco and Los Angles. T-Mobile service is better overseas in Europe and the Middle East - but not good in the USA!

never had trouble with Nextel in Michigan or in any area travelling here. Reception was ok before Charley now it sucks big time, dropped calls in the house,in the car, in stores, and in many cases no service in buildings. Have made many complaints and get a song and dance about "growth is so rapid, can't keep up with towers to accomodate". I can switch to Sprint without early penalty but from reading reviews, may not be much better. I think it may be worth the loss of money than to put up with the bs and aggravation. son in Ft Myers, barely gets reception and he must depend on phone for work.
