Five Bars for phone reception. No 3GS service available Edge service terrible.

The phone I beleive is what determines the reception more than the carrier. As I have had cheap phones with AT&T and had no reception at all in this location.

AT&T / Cingular coverage is horrible. I can't get reception inside my house. It drops calls all of the time. I also keep getting the message "emergency calls only" on my phone. I've had my SIM card switched out three times by the store and it hasn't helped. I'm going to switch to T-Mobil or Verizon.

Only get 1-2 bars in house or yard, dropped calls frequently. Also dropped calls on I95 through St. Augustine Road / I295 area.

Cingular at beach in St. Augustine is excellent. Few dropped calls, only occasionally from inside house downstairs.

Cingular receiption on 13 S is avergae - but parts of 214 between 13 and King Treet are in a dead zone

Cingular GSM tower is 4 miles away by CR-210 and the Intracoastal. Other towers by I-95 (5+ miles). Sprint tower 1 mile, but uses 800mhz for PCS and no co-marketing agreement between them. Little or no reception in the house, outside usually works.

Have not found a phone that works in here yet.

Nextel sucks no matter where you go. Sure you might actually get a call here and there in a major city - and then out of no where they drop... . No coverage in my home, why bother having a phone. OH, and the bleep bleep bleep two way radio is archaic CB nonsense!

Good overall reception but not as good as Verizon. Had a few drops and (underwater sounding calls).

I can't use the phone most of the time.

In St. Augustine, West of I-95 Sprint has terrible coverage. There is no coverage at all indoors. Sprint even loses coverage on I-95 between St. Augustine and Jacksonville. Verizon and AT&T both have better coverage. In my house Sprint has 0 bars, AT&T 3 bars, Verizon 4 bars. If I stand outside I barely get telephone reception and forget data coverage at all. AT&T and Verizon get telephone and data coverage without problem. I have heard that 4G is supposed to be fast but with Sprint I have never been able to use it. I need to switch to Verizon! I will probably change and pay the penalty. No point in carrying around an expensive paperweight with no coverage.

Used to have roaming coverage at this location but even forcing the phone into "roam" mode doesn't pick up a signal. Apparently, Sprint has cancelled its roaming contracts for this area. So now, no service, even though Sprint coverage map on webiste shows this area as having roaming coverage. FYI, Verizon wireless broadband works just fine here for internet.

Cant receive service IN MY HOUSE (I have Home Base Biz!) OR IN MY COMMUNITY - I have to wait to drive to King and Bear on 16 or Shands Bridge area to receive or call out! SPRINT SUCKS!

I am right on the edge of Sprint's coverage area in south Saint Johns County. I currently have zero bars and it occasionally jumps to two bars, but even when I go downtown Saint Augustine, which supposed to be fully covered I still experience problems; When I get inbound calls, most of the time the phone never rings! Hours later I will get a notification of a missed call or voice mail, and even text messages are delayed. This may be phone (hardware) related to the HTC Touch, but the reception when I do get a call is terrible with static or extremely choppy. I CAN say that I have not had any calls dropped, even though I don't use it a lot. I would look elsewhere but I am tied to this bloody 2 year contract for now!

Terrible 'reception'. Always loosing connection while talking. Cannot use! I cancel my service for sure! This is not the only downtown area where there is terrible 'connection'. Same in Richmond, VA, Jacksonville, FL, etc...

I travel the state and except for most interstate highways T-Mobile has HORRIBLE reception, it got worse since the talk of AT&T take over. Do not waste your money or time with T-Mobile, the sales reps tell you "we have new towers going up" that is a bunch of BS, I am in the tower industry and they have put a stop on new construction.

We just moved out into the area and cannot get reception in our house. We tried calling and they said they reported our area as better poor so there was nothing they could do. We cannot get any reception for more than 3-4 mins at a time without dropping the call. We even tried getting Verizon and there was still no improvement... I am trying to find the best carrier to avoid getting a land line...

No reception in house. Signal was perfect until late November. Then sporadic until mid January 2010. Now no signal at all. Some signal outside of house but much less than before November

Rarely have 5 bars... typically 3 in South Hampton, ALWAYS poor service (0-1... sometimes 2) in JCP, but decent service most places around Jacksonville.
