No dropped calls, but signal - thus sound quality - still are well below average when compared to other areas. Many with other carriers that I know get even worse coverage. Verizon here, although not good, is best. Verizon: Get with the program and do some updating!

We have two Samsung and drive county wide without a reception issue. Calls are clear inside as well as outdoors. We've been using T-Mobile and Samsung for 10 years and have no complaints. We have clients that used T-Mobile and other phones that had no reception where we had no problems, leading me to suspect it was the phone and not the network. From reading your explanation it seems to support a theory of mine that there are to many users of AT&T in this area, consequently they are flooding the network and dropping calls.

I have to say that while not absolutely perfect, Verizon Wireless has been good for me. At peak drive times, calls often go straight to voice mail while I sit at my desk, but otherwise coverage is good throughout southern Pinellas County. About 25% of the time a call will be dropped on the Howard Frankland bridge, but dropped calls are otherwise rare. I travel extensively and find Verizon coverage to be largely reliable. Uh, no, I don't work for them and wish I had an iPhone, but you guys scare me about AT&T.

Very poor reception. If you sit outside and talk, it's a bit better, but ultimately gives out. Looks as if Altel is strongest in this. For sure it's not T-Mobile.

Had AT&T tdsm with ok reception. Then Cingular with gsm and got a little better reception. Now with the new AT&T I get a below average signal. I've callled them several times and they do some kind of reset and reception remains bad. Their rep told me that I would receive good reception 200 feet north of my house. Sure, when I need to use my cell I'll walk 200 feet down my street. I have 4-5 bars then it drops to 0-1. Can't use in house. Contract expires in 2 months, will find new company!

I would just like to be comfortable and speak on my expensive cell phone and service. I feel very let down that I cough up all this dough and get crap in return. I now must search for another phone since I have a 24 / mo contract with crap-mobile for getting this phone with a discount a couple of months ago as part of a contract extension. I can talk fine outside but I would like to be able to us my phone indoors as well. When you look on their website it says that the coverage is great in my area but it's not that great for indoor use which is where I'm at most of the time. I've lost a many important calls due to this issue and it has costed me valuable time that I can never get back.

I find the entire downtown area of St. Pete, especially the Baywalk and Bayfront areas, have no reception at all. I don't know if this is because there are a couple of hospitals in that area, causing some kind of interference with phone reception, or if it's the AT&T phone service.
