Alltel has never dropped a call for me and I always have more bars than my friends. Best coverage in all of florida.

No matter where I go I have no problems with dropped calls. I use it when travelling to New England and have never had a problem.

I work in one of the taller buildings downtown, no problem with reception anywhere in the downtown area. The only time it's not 100% is when I am down in the first floor, which is a bank (lots of metal to damper the reception). I also live out by the interstate, rarely have a dropped call and that is usually due to the person I am calling. I used to sell Sprint, but we switched to Alltell and have been very happy. We have 2 phones we use in different parts of the state and also one phone is used out of state at college. We talk a lot (especially the college student!) and haven't had any problems in the past year we've had service. Also, no issues with billing, which was a serious problem with Sprint.

I think Alltel has a tower near hear because the signal is very strong all over this area. Great signal in and around the Sarasota Square Mall and really all over area. I use to have T-Mobile and it seems like the T-Mobile phones are a little cooler, but the Alltel coverage runs circles around T-Mobile's. What good is a cell phone if it doesn't make a call? But I've been really happy with the Alltel coverage here and their plans compare well to other options. I don't know of any provider that's better as far as coverage goes either. Unlike Cingular or Verizon, I can generally keep a very good signal indoors and even away from heavily populated areas. I am a happy customer.

Have used BB7250, Motorola v710, LG 5450 and LG5550. Reception is excellent. Have not dropped any calls, no fast busy signals. Works great on the boat on the Intercoastal. Alltel service is by far the best!

I have been with Alltel in this area for 9 years. The reception in and outside of buildings have been vary good with no disconnects. Others in this area hace tried other cell companys and I have seen problems with in and out going connections with drop-outs. Alltel's system in this area working with my v60i phone is unbeatable for me at this time. Co-workers in different locations have had bad proplems with other cell companys, but again my never did. My Alltell doesn't seem to work in buildings. Also need to turn it off at nite frequently according to Alltel to reset the system. Univ park at 301 is poor as is Univ park and I75. west manatee ave in Bradenton also poor. Lets not even mention the islands... I hear these are trouble spots on all systems, but would like to be better in my house and my office. My wifes Sprint seems better than my Alltel.

Works well when it works. Iffy inside buildings. Have upgraded the software twice in last six months, Alltel says it is as good as it gets.

We constantly get dropped calls. When I am talking to someone they say I am breaking up. I can start out with 3or 4 bars and they will drop to nothing.

I may get 5 bars of signal but as soon as I try and use something that takes data I might as well give up. I'm lucky if I get 0.16Mbps down and 0.10Mbps up. Checking email is a nightmare and there's no chance of googling for directions or to find a good restaurant or bar. I'm extremely dissapointed in AT&T considering they did a good job at improving signal but did nothing to improve bandwidth.
