Verizon was great in Massachusetts, but only one bar here, Verizon advised me to buy a network extender from them for $250.00 but could not guarantee I would get better service?? So, get a land line, and pay or extender and pay. Its all about the money, but you knew that!

Verizon is the best coverage in Sarasota. I desperately want an iPhone, but the AT&T reception is so poor, it won't work at my house.

No problems, no dropped calls. In fact, I never had problems anywhere within the Sarasota County.

Last year I upgraded my phone, with no significant improvement. I have complained but have gotten no staisfaction. Sometimes my reception is fine and other times I keep getting dropped. It would seem from the comments above that Alltel is the best in my area but don't know how it would be in upstate NY.

Inside the house no bars and outside, if you are lucky, one bar. I have called Verizon several times and only response was that I "should get a good signal". But, I don't. I have traveled all of the US and have not experienced any serious problems. The solution on Modena is simple, Verizon needs to add another tower. See map. I am ready to switch carriers.

Very poor reception in building which is 1/4 mi. N of center of downtown Sarasota.
