Verizon pretty much sums it up for florida. If you're look for perfect signal, and amazing clarity, Verizon is the way to go. I call my peeps on other networks, and I can't hear them nearly as clearly as other Verizon users. Additionally, I've never in my entire life had to look for a signal, or wait for my phone to pick one up. There are, of course, some obvious exceptions such as elevators are very large, electronics heavy department stores (Best Buy, Wal-Mart, etc... ). I always laugh when I see people pointing their phones in different directions waiting for a signal. I've never done this. Nor have I ever lost a call, or had even slightly poor reception.

Oakhurst area of Seminole, FL - Until several months ago signal level was acceptable and outgoing calls went to "extended Service" on Altel tower. That has changed. Now no useable signal and no handoff to "extended service". Although there are at least 3 cell towers visable from this area,(obviously not Verson Wireless towers) Verizon Wireless phones won't even roam. Because this represents a decline in service, those affected should be able to void their contract with Verizon Wireless without penalty based upon their (Verizon Wireless) "constructive termination" of service. My experience with Verizon Wireless regarding this issue is much the same as with other carriers-they dance around the issues, lie about it and when push comes to shove they basicly tell you "it's tough, we never promised service in any specific location".
