I've had Alltel since the summer of '07. Best coverage out of my experience with Nextel, Verizon, and T-mobile. My husband is on a tree crew and he often works in remote areas of Hernando and surrounding areas, and he frequently is the only one with service. Last week his climber fell 35 feet out of a tree and had to be Bayflighted to a Tampa trauma center. My huz was the only one that could call for help. My advice if you want good service, and a fairly priced plan with My Circle-get Alltel NOW. When they merge with Verizon the My Circle plans may not be available for new customers, but old contracts will be honored.

I live out in Hernando Beach never lose a phone call. Alltel service workes where the others don't. Nextel,At&T,cellular. verison tried them all only Alltell service does the job. I do all my long distance calls with it and never get dropped. I am using an older anologe, digital phone. Doesn't take picture but it sure works good.

have had altell for over 10 years and have lived in pinellas and pasco. Travelled all over the country. Only bad reception is in the mountains of N. Carolina and the Rockies. Would not switch.

I live in Silverthorn and as soon as I drive in through the gates I have no signal on my cell. Then it will be intermittant as I drive through the subdivision. I have no signal inside my house either. The rest of my family has the same problem so the phone is not the problem, it is AT&T's problem.

Did have good reception at this location. Then in December of 2008 reception got terrible. Inside or outside the house makes no difference. Call will fade in and out then wil loss connection after 5 minutes or so.

Horrible reception, dropped calls, no one can hear me.

Two years ago I complained to Cingular customer relations, and was told that by the Spring of 2007 additional attenas would be installed or repositioned, to improve coverage! Well Iam waiting. It's like that saying, " The check is in the Mail" The Reception is "POOR to NONE"

cell phones ok but the data service is weak, 86 to 95 db. one has to be patient here.

I had AT&T Digital service then switched to "better coverage" with GSM... ha ha ha. I have been with this company since 1998, and the service quality keeps dropping with the years. I signed a new two year contract back in Feb / Mar of this year, but last month, I made the most liberating decision and the $175 I paid to break my contract is the best $175 I have spent in a long time. I now have 0 dropped calls, excellent customer service, and full signal wherever I go with Alltel. It is a bit more expensive, but worth the extra cash.

I have had AT&T's TDMA for 3 years now and it has been the best service that I have found yet. There GSM network is horrible. Verizon and Alltel drops about 90% of my calls made from my house and T-mobile goes in and out with a maximum of to bars of signal. AT&T's TDMA is the best for me but they do not any longer make the phone for that service so you can't get a camera phone.

Metro's Android phones are horrible and their service is even worse. They do not even have 3G in this area ??? It is so pathetically slow, you could look up the info you need in a book before you get any data back from Metro. On another note, Metro's customer service and technical support is beyond horrible. In store and by phone. It is next to impossible to get in touch with them, and once you do you get someone who has NO knowledge of the cell phone industry ??? or any of their phones. I bet if I called 5 times, 5 times I never got an answer... that is being conservative. If Metro was the only carrier available, I would rather use smoke signals.

I think its time to go back to land lines cause nowadays u pay just to have a nice looking phone and thats it.They put so much on acell phone now.But I dont need any of it.I get on facebook frm my computer,take pictures with a camera,watch movies on t.v.,etc.We're paying for things we already have and getting away from what we really need the phone for... to make phone calls. Dosent really make a diffrence what provider you choose. I've had T,-mobile,Sprint,and Metro PCS and it was the same with all.So unless you travel alot get a landline for home.They're pretty inexpensive now.Just keep a cell with a simple plan for emergencies away frm home.

No reception on my street. Occasionally a poor signal.

I use Nextel for work. Recption used to be good in this area. After the Sprint merger it went down hill. I usually can't use my Nextel in the house. I used to have Sprint and had no reception within 1 / 2 - 3 / 4 of a mile from my house. My personal phone is a Verizon and it has no problem. I drive truck in the local area and never have problems with my Verizon service. Sprint and Nextel SUCK. Sprint and Nextel, can you hear me now? Yes. That is because I am calling from my Verizon phone!

Was very good, with the older phones. Started having problems with dropped or losing signals about 6 months ago, but nothing too extreme. Upgraded phones 2 months ago, alot of times, can't dc, dropped on calls, can't phone out, very poor reception. Tested old phone and new phone, new phone loses more bars than the old phone does. Am going back to my old 88s until I can come up with $400 to cancel the contract. Unfortunately, not many other providers do well in my area. Nextel was the only one. Have tried att, cingular, alltel, verizon. Maybe just use my onstar??

No problem with sprint[ virginmobile] Had ATTwhen I lived in St. Petersburg but had many dropped calls. So I changed and am happy. I think many problems are the result of the poor phones,them self.!

I'm fed up with Sprint. My plan runs out in 3 weeks and I can't wait. My reception was poor, thru 5 different phones, customer service was poor, at best. I thought my contract would never end. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

Very good reception both in house and outside, also works in local Lowes at RT 19 and south of RT 50 intersection.

In my House Nextel, ATT, metro PCS = EPIC FAILS,. my friend came over with his wife and both got T mobile, he has a free phone and she has a avg phone.. Both getting 4 out of 5 bars.. I call that Really Good.
