As noted on the Sprint coverage maps, there is little reception here in River Pines. The farther east you go in the complex, the worse the signal is. Doesn't matter what phone or service. ATT, Verizon, TMobile, all the same story. I'ts been like this ever since I moved here in 2001. So frustrating.
Horrible reception inside the house with nextel. when my mother is over, she has verizon, she does not seem to have my problem. Unfortunately, I love Nextel's incoming free
Now that reception rating is downstairs in my house. overall Verizon is very good anywhere from miami to tennessee is where I have been and the only time I have a problem is in my office off of ocean blvd in stuart I have to stand by the window or go outside and downstairs in my house. upstairs in my house and outside is full strength. Verizon needs to just add some power behind their signal to get through these concrete walls better or something. other than those two areas for me Verizon is by far the best. I would tell anyone thinking of Verizon that they can't go wrong. They all have their problem areas but I have had At&t, Nextel and I know people that have Sprint and T-Mobile and they have nothing on Verizon.
Sprint is the worst in this area I have found in the last few years. Not only do I loose contact while talking but too often I cant get a single when I turn on the Phone
Almost never have a dropped call - even in warehouses. Ours works nationwide with virtually no problems. Hurricane use was fine. Agree with other reviewer - it has much to do with the phone. A friend has Cingular and a Razr and has problems all the time in the same area.
Terrible, terrible, terrible, not much more I can say. Reception has degraded since the AT&T and Cingular merger. Once my contract is out I will be switching service providers.
have had Sprint since 2000 and in last month or so the reception has declined. in last month or so the cell phone does not ring for some incoming calls and does not record as a missed call. voicemails which are received come through sometimes more than once and sometimes a day or two late. additionally calls have been dropping in the last month or so, something that has not happened in the past, including during and after 3 hurricanes. other Sprint phones that are in our home are also losing signal and dropping calls. Sprint service says the technicians have recorded 5 bar reception nearby and our local Sprint store says "you need a new phone, yours is an antique". I guess the other Sprint customers also need new phones when in or near my home. my phone has been inservice since 3 / 05 and prior phone sanyo scp4700 for 3 years.
Reception in the Hutchinson Island is generally poor. All along Ocean Blvd.leading out to the Island same. Way. Sewalls Pt is poor. Very Bad in Vista Pine Complex. Has 533 units and have to be on porch to get any reception. Verizon is any better. Was in Nevada two weeks ago and 25 miles from any town and got 5 bars. Could not believe it. No population but great service. What is wrong in the Stuart Area. Have close ot 40,000 people and only select areas do you get coverage. Understand Cingluar has only one tower and that is near US 1 and Indian St. When you go to the company store they are not provided with any information about what is being done to correct the situation.
