I have had Nextel for over 2 years. The reception has gotten progressively worse over the past 6 months. I can not believe how poor the reception is within the city limits. I have 2 Nextel phones for my business and use over 1000 minutes each per month during peak hours. I continuously have dropped calls, fail to recieve calls only to get immediate notification of a voice message. I could not be more dissatisfied.
Reception in Tampa was amazing. Just moved to Tallahassee and am very disappointed. Reception is great near the FSU campus, but over east of Governors Square and on the new Blairstone extension, reception is horrible and frequently drops alltogether. T-Mobile has provided nothing less than perfect customer service but unfortunately these lapses in service are unacceptable within the city limits.
By the window inside it is a 4 bar reception. However, int the kitchen away form the window, it is about 1 bar reception. A big difference. But I have to tell ya, I have had Sprint and Cingular in Tally Town and both sucked when I was living at Blairstone At Governors Square Apartments by the Gov Sqr Mall. That was over two years ago. So I wouldnt want anyone else but Verizon.
The bars will go from 3 on down... mostly stays on 1 bar. What I don't get is the fact that I can hear others clearly on the other end of the phone, but they can't hear me.
