Looking at the charts and maps for all the other carriers and there towers are around 1 mile from my location. Except for AT&T. My closest tower is 5 miles away. My neighbors all complain about the reception, and AT&T say they are working on getting service for us. AT&T says they have the best service, but they seem to be lazy when they want to keep up in contact with others.

I live in Tarpon Springs, work in Palm Harbor, and visit St. Pete quite often. I even visit Ft. Myers on occasion. I always have coverage no matter where I go! Verizon is great - no dropped calls, clear reception.

Have had very good service with Alltel at home and all over southeast US.

Alltel does disconnect regularly. For the most part, it is reliable. I had Cingular before and it was definitely worse. There are times where there is no service, but it's rare. Our bill is with taxes 160 / month for 3 phones and 2000 min. nationwide. Insurance isn't good, replaced our Motorola with a crappy brand. We are shopping around to see what else is out there. I guess we're satisfied, but not thrilled.

Inside the house we might get two bars. At most. Outside, two to three bars.Lots of fading.

Dropped calls always. They have some problems going on right now and no single dumbass at customer service can tell you a thing about it.

AT&T is awful in this area and every area. I have trouble when I go to Ocala area also when I go to Orlando area and I know it is not the phone because we have two types of phones I also have a Motorola.

Very poor reception, if I go a couple of blocks toward downtown reception starts to improve.
