Alltel is putting up new towers all the time to get the best reception for customers as they can. they are one of the only carriers that has a corp. location in Venice. With most of the other you have to go to Port Charlotte or Sarasota.

Looking for towers near me to get better signal or to change service for better service.

Signal strength varies between nothing and several bars - depending on location. Call quality on all call is only marginally better when signal strength is greater. Caller voice often drops completely out, briefly, once every 5 to 10 seconds throughout the duration of the call. Senders voice does the same. Call connection randomly terminates at varying times throughout a call, indedpendant of location within this area. This happens in apprx 25% of all calls greater than 5 minutes in duration.

great reception and coverage, a phone with a hot receiver is the key

I just got in from newengland last weak and I cant beleave how terible,bad this service is.there should b laws governing

no reception in house [at all] it is a known dead spot and somthing needs to be done for this area..Sprint was no better when I had them as a provider..

I'm lucky if I can even keep a call from dropping or receive texts for that matter... :(

Constantly drops calls from venice to Long Boat. I use to have alltell worked excellent until the switched to Verizon in which none of there plans would work for me Plus customer service is the worst.

Nextel, always drops calls. I drop about 20 calls a day. Called cutomer service told me to turn phone on and off... ..well no luck there. Today I can use my two-way but the phone service is not working at all. Horrible!

Sprint has been crappy - many dropped calls and won't work in the house at all.
