i travel all over the area and I get great coverage everywhere

Throughout the length of Meadow Pointe area as well as most of the areas around it have never been a problem for me to make a call with Alltel. I will average a very good signal through there, always enough to make a call and hold onto it, even indoors and I'm usually in that area several times a week running errands and making deliveries. Just talk to anybody that's tried Alltel, they provide the best signal around this area and I would recommend them to anybody shopping for cell service that consider coverage the most important aspect or looking to switch to a provider that works here while you sit inside. Signal seems to be hit or miss with others here. Alltel's plans also compare favorably to others giving My Circle and more minutes. Overall, I really like my experience with them and the coverage for this area is great, this must be a well covered area for them.

I ran across this site and wanted to share my experience with Alltel. I didn't see any other reviews on it, and I really believe that's because nobody around here is having coverage problems with Alltel to search out an online review site to complain about it. But whatever the reason may be, Alltel coverage around here is really as good as it gets in my experience. I know several people with Sprint and Cingular and one with Verizon and my Alltel phone always has a better signal. My phone is consistently on 4 or 5 bars and the calls always sound clear and never drop. I don't have any problems anywhere throughout the area. Even indoors it does a really good job. I've been a customer for almost 2 years now and I wouldn't trade my Alltel phone for any other.

No reception inside rooms. Spotty reception outdoors.

Very poor indoors, useable on outdoors Lanai. Even outdoors, one side of the call is often dropped. Frequent interference as well as ebb and surge in signal strength. Visitors who use Verizon here have no problem inside or out. There is a cell tower within 1 / 4 mile but it may not be Cingular. Cingular Customer Service is of no help with either the phone or reception. They only want you to commit for additional terms of service. Cingular provides programming for Motorola phones using their network. Their programming caused inconsistent battery charging and a shortened use cycle but rather than repair the problem, they would rather give me a new phone (free if I extend my contract). If I can keep my number I'm switching to Verizon at the next anniversary.

Have been with Cingular now for over 6 yrs. I drive 200 miles per day in some out lying area in the middle of nowhere on St. Rd #54 east towards Lakeland, north on I-75 to St. Rd#52 towards Land o' Lakes and the reception has been excellent. It is the old TDMA technology which is going to be grandfathered soon. They will be forcing everyone to move on and away from this technology. A Cingular rep informed me today. I will probably switch to Alltel. From people I talk to that live in the out lying edges of Pasco have informed me there coverage is also great. Feedback from Alltel members in Eastern and Central Pasco would be welcome.

Service is bad and getting worse... ..I was an AT&T customer for years before Cingular purchased them. AT&T was a good experience. Cingular is bad, bad, with a cusotmer service idepartment designed to totally BS the customer. Whatever lie works is what they use. After over 20 calls to the service department, I am convinced that they have zero ethics and are paid to stall and delay. I feel sorry for the people who are taking the calls and have to listen to me and tens of thousands of other frustrated customers. I have total disdain for the gutless wonders who manage the service centers for Cingular. They will not take calls and chastise CSR's who can't handle the situation with the complaining customers. They are about as ruthless and worthless at solving problems and giving answers as any company I have had recent experience with. Cingular senior executives who direct these people are even worse. My advice to them is to get out while you can with your "golden parachutes." You couldn't make in the real world of customer satisfaction. Sell to someone who cares...

Terrible reception at home, drops most calls.

metro is the most horrible provider out in wesley chapel, while I was living in tampa I always knew metro was a piece of crap but I didn't think it would be this bad... . my wife just wants to drop our cell service all togetrher because there is no use for it, its just a paper weight at this point. I was forced to get a home phone because my wife is on bedrest because she is due any day now and I wdon't want something to happen and she cannot reach me. Metro is so bad that you really have to consider your families safety.

They are forever dropping my calls and if I talk on the phone over 20 minutes it is on fire in my hands. No receptiion in my house.

Like everyone else, one bar, calls drop all the time especially when they are incoming. Battery drains quickly looking for reception. Stay away from Sprint if you are going to use it in Lex. Oaks and the Wesley Chapel area around it.

I frequently have dropped calls with Sprint. I am now searching for a new carrier with PDA phones.

Inside Meadow Pointe I drop 1 / 2 my calls, and sometimes the same inside my home in Meadow Pointe 4. Can anyone suggest a good carrier for the SR 54 and Meadow Pointe Blvd.area in Wesley Chapel if there is one?

Service is terrible. Dropped calls and only one bar at best.

Below Avg outside - Poor inside. Hopefully that will change because they are putting in a T-Mobile cell tower along side the John Long Middle School on Mansfield Blvd.

With T-Mobile I get fair reception throughout Meadow Point and even in Country Walk it's not bad, but in my house it's *horrible*. The phone often loses signal completely in the house and I can only talk while standing in one hallway. ;-) Could be because I have a cheap pay-as-you-go type phone that's about 3 years old, but who knows.

I have to go out into the middle of the road to get reception for outgoing calls and text messages. No help from T-Mobile either. Best suggestion they could come up with was to purchase an antenna to extend the service!

My reception was great with this phone in Jacksonville, FL. Once I moved into Meadowpointe II in Wesley Chapel, my reception has been very poor inside my home. I must go outside for any important calls or use my home phone. Which phone provider has the best signal in this area? I need to switch. T-Mobile works great once I get to county line road and beyond. It even works great inside the Seven Oaks apartments. Try thm if you live in the Bruce B Downs and SR 56 area, and I think you'll be pleased with the reception. I need something better to use at home though. I think Alltel may be the answer??? Someone please enter a provider with positive results for me to try.
