I like the phone, but Virgin Mobile has no signal where I live. Missed calls, unable to surf unlimited because of the poor to non-existant signal.

In community of Golden Lakes Village... Blackberry phone on Boost / Sprint is two bars, very unreliable. IPAD 2 3G Verizon averages weak two bars, rarely enough to download many web pages or Email if inside a init. Some locations get a stronger two bars, and function slowly at downloads.

Sprint signal is very bad in my community(olympia) might get up to 2 bars and drops to 1 or no service seconds after. Have to drive out to 441 and head north or south for about 1-2miles to get decent reception. Sprint support suggest I get antenna installed in home to boost signal but do not have any references as to where or what kind to buy. What good is a smart phone when you have no signal to pull up media. So much for all that 4g talk when you can't even make a call in this area. AT&T does work fine in this community as many of my neighbors have Iphones. I will probably switch when contract is up even though rates are higher.

After putting up with no phone service in my home or neighborhood for 2 years and my contract had expired, T-Mobile said it was my phone. I needed a new and better model. They were absolutely sure thats what it was and guaranteed that if I signed another 2 year contract, they would send me a better phone and I would get reception. Guess what? Another 2 years without service. I have to get in my car and drive out of my neighborhood, sometimes as far as 441 (SR 7), which is about 5-6 miles from my home, in order for me to get bars. I just don't know who else to change over to, that would be any better.

I have a Verizon Broadband Card which I use for my internet and this location gives me about two bars but if I drive up to around Okeechobee Blvd.and The Turnpike it jumps to five bars. I noticed there are no towers near this area and most are close to the Turnpike. I did see what appears to be a new cell tower that looks like a giant flagple with a American Flag and Eagle at the top. This new tower is located at Benoist Farms and Okeechoobee Blvd. I am unsure which carrier this tower is for and wondered if anyone else knows?

Although I have been maintaining 3 to 5 bars, calls are not working in both direction and those that do get dropped for the last two weeks. Sprint tech support says they are having trouble with the closest antennae to this location. They say it may be hardware or software but they are looking into it. This is downtown West Palm Beach, how does this company expect to satisfy customers when they are just looking into the problem for 2 weeks now. It's pretty useless to have a phone service that is currently not working for the 53 employees of my work plus the 100's or more that work and live in this area.

I'm hoping that with going back to Verizon is the best move because T-Mobile in Wellington is the worst. There are so many dead zones until you get to State Rd 7. Inside the house... no signal, going down Southshore... no signal... and especially Lake Worth road... .I won't even have one bar... even if I wish for it. Goodbye TMobile.

Tmobile has to have some of the worst service in the world. At my house, dosent matter if I am in or outdoors, I will have all my bars and suddenly lose them all. When I do have bars I usually get message sending failed or call can not be completed. Once and a while it says that all circuits are busy. I cant beleive people pay for this crap.

Ok, I am on a beachfront condo... .but who cares! I have been seeking an alternative to T-Mobile. Calls have always dropped in the tens of deadspots in countless locations. Is it the phone? Is it the service? Each would blame the other.

I call it the "Jupiter Triangle". On I75 as you near Jupiter, calls drop. Strange because there are three cell towers right next to the interstate in the exact area the signal drops... and after the dropped call, you immediately get 5 bars! When is Alltel going to get a corporate store in West Palm? Long overdue for the "nations largest coverage area".

I get no reception in my home and if a call does somehow get through, it is dropped within seconds. On the street reception is poor and if there is even the slightest breeze, it sounds like a tornado in the phone. In the car, you have to hold the phone right next to the window... If you talk long enough (10 minutes) your call will be dropped. At my other home, in Briny Breezes, I have to walk 2 or 3 blocks west from the ocean to get even 1-bar. In the house, the phone does not even ring. Most times it will not even go to voicemail. Perhaps additional towers might be helpful... Oops, that cost $$$! I am switching to Sprint. If that does not work, "Bye-bye cell phone!"

I have been with Nextel for 3 to 4 years and they have never failed me. I came from Cingular which back then was absolutely horrifying. Their costumer service was terrible. If I had a problem they told me oh well, there was nothing they could do about it. Now, with Nextel costumer service is always to set things right. Rather with credits to my account or free phones. They are great

We have had Cingular for 2yrs now, and they suck! We have all the problems everyone else complains about- dropped calls (those commercials make me sick!) no signal, late messages, phone not ringing, etc. I am currently looking for another carrier as well as another phone. This time I am trying to do my homework before I am stuck again. We have had a poor experience with Nextel, have friends who suffer with Sprint, so... We are considering Verizon.

Nextel says that the are getting better, better at what, dropping calls and giving you no reception. This company has been going down hill ever since the hurricanes. The best thing I licked about this phone was the 2 way, but that has gone also. It makes no sense way you have to pay your bill for service that doesn't work? Now that Sprint bought them out they say thay are better, but they are wrong. I have spoken to customer service and they told me that Sprint towers are not compatible with netel. So there you have it the company needs help. Hope who reads this makes a good decision on the company they get. Good luck to all Nextel customers.

I switched to Cingular a little over a month ago from Nextel. I heard good things about Cingular, all the commercials and etc. I was a former Cellular One, then At&T customer so I figured since I had GREAT service with them in the past. I figured Cingular with new technology and more towers would be GREAT also.... ... . Boy was I fooled, I get great signal 4-5 bars everywhere but fewer dropped calls... . I don't know who they compared them too, but I drop approximately 60-70% of calls, and the other 30-40% of the calls are garbled so bad that I wish they would just drop. Cingular customer support is not very impressive either I was basically told that my 30 day trial period was over and I was stuck with the service for the next 2 years which I found to be unacceptable customer service. I don't know if it's the phone or the service but it's terrible. I wish Cellular One was back again. I had their service from 1988 with the bag style phone, went to the brick phone, then to a Motorola flip phone. I never dropped a call... . ever, sometimes a short burst of static but that was all. I traveled all over the US, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Italy and never had a problem (Italy had limited coverage at that time in 1993) but I talked from Italy to the US and everyone I talked to thought I was calling from the Hotel on a landline. Does anyone know of a phone and provider that offers service in the US and Virgin Islands that doesn't have signal issues or dropped or garbled calls?

I get ONE bar at best with Verizon, but most times get nothing. Quick rundown, avoid Nextel, Cingular and Verizon in South Florida. T-Mobile leases 40% of it towers from Cingular, I am told. Sprint seems to be the most reliable, from what I read on these boards.

I have dropped Cingular and switched over to Sprint since they have a better rate for the plan that I wanted. With Cingular I used to gets "Missed Call" messages when the phone never rang or I would get an alert that I have a message. This alert would come through on a Tuesday for a message that someone left on the previous Friday.
