Should be LTE, not even receiving 3G service, and only get 1 bar service on the basic Verizon service. Very poor coverage and response from Verizon. They indicate it is a known service issue.

Horrible, horrible reception in my office. I used to live nearby and had zero reception in my apartment (thankfully I moved to a place that gets some reception). I cannot connect to 3G / 4G for more than a second or two at a time. Calls do randomly drop in certain areas too. I have had to walk outside / around the parking lot just to find a signal, which is still not easy. This is my third phone with Sprint in this location and all have been awful. In between, I had AT&T for 2 years, and I did not have these problems.

Little to no reception at home (zero indoors, 1-2 bars outside) and slow data rates. Did receive a free AirRave from Sprint (connected to my home internet) and now I get full bars. It's a work around and it work for about a 200 ft radius around the house.

I'm writing in hopes of abating some of the frustrations I read on this blog. I do NOT work for any wireless carrier, however, we do supply fiber-optic back-haul to some of their towers (and you thought this was all wireless... heh... heh..heh..). You need to set your expectations as it relates to the rollout of this technology. For example, Sprint, is dumping 16 Billion, with a B, for their upgrades, AT&T, Verizon and others are doing similar things. Oh and this is so they can try to cover the world. Not easy. Cell traffic has its limits, both voice and data. Period. It doesn't matter which carrier you choose, they are all going to have soft spots..so-to-speak. LTE will help penetrate buildings a bit more effectively but, it's not a 100% guarantee. Here's a quick lowdown. If you travel, AT&T and Verizon are probably your best bets as they tend to have better, NOT perfect mind you, coverage across the US. T-Mobile and Sprint are coming on strong. Sprint and T-Mobile will probably be sold at some point. Japanese seem to have an appetite for our wireless carriers as of late so, be prepared. If anything, they will probably improve things so... there's... .that... .. If you drive around Atlanta you may have even noticed its not flat. Ergo, inconsistent cell coverage. As consumers we want cheap, fast, perfect, and ubiquitous... .ain't gonna happen. It has limits but, consider this, 25 years ago I was talking into a Motorola Brick for 28 cents per minute and glad to have it. Payphones WERE all the rage and began (mercifully) to die. Now, you have simultaneous data (on some) and tremendous voice to the point where you can drop your land line. Even E-911 is almost good enough to try... .You get unlimited traffic, true web access at a reasonable rate, not great... yet... but, you can finally use a browser and GPS for some things... great tools, relatively cheap... Message? Shadddup... ..things are improving... the infrastructure is improving... however, if you don't like the coverage, volunteer to double your bill so the wireless carriers can continue to spend millions so you can chit chat behind the wheel in bocephus junction Georgia... .think about it... . One of the hardest things in life is to ACCEPT the limitations of others... .think cell... think limitations... Ciao.

We have old clam shell phones and want to drop our land phone but keep the internet. AT&T will gouge you for every cent. Sprint was honest enough to warn that our area is not covered so we're stuck with Verizon cellular service. You would think the Public Service Commission would REQUIRE these companies to not be monopolistic. We truly need a class action suit. What say ye attorneys?

Not only does the coverage map say it has digital coverage but it states good coverage. The coverage in buckhead area is horrible, if you live in a building beware they will try and charge you $299 for an extender to make their service work as it should. Why don't they say that in their ads when they show read all over the place. They played around for 5 months making all the excuses including blaming it on my brnad new phone and finally said oh your ina limted coverage busileding and we can help but it will be $299. Verizon is terrible and they are so cocky they could care less if they lose you as a customer. I will go back to a land line before I ever go back to verison mainly because of the horrible arrogance that it was anything but the fault of the company. Then when it was they tried to charge me to fix the problem. Go ahead pay more for no betetr service and terrible customer service
