I am with Verizon and they are the only company that gets reception at my apartment. My friends with Sprint PCS and Cingular have to go out and stand in the road to use their phones. Every night, there are a bunch of people (other residents) standing out in the parking lot using their cell-phones when I get home, it is too funny. I have had Verizon service for 10 years now, they used to be Airtouch back then, and I have never had reception problems.

Happy with ATT TDMA, but change to ATT digital technolgoy then Cingular; no reception in my home and frequent dropped calls on Chamblee Tucker by Peachtree Dekalb and Chamblee Marta station. Numerous calls to customer service. Purchased new phones, down loaded updates. I would not recommend Cingular to my worst enemy.

Cingular's service seems to be getting worse and worse. Calls dropped everywhere. I have sat in my car without moving looking at a cell tower and the signal fades in and out. Calls are dropped all the time driving around intown and downtown atlanta. I think GSM is just one big scam. My service was better several years ago with analog. I just want my phone to work, I don't care about internet and all the features, I just want to make and receive calls, and it's just getting worse. I'm looking at other providers, I don't trust Cingular. AT&T was just as bad, and now they're one company.

I live in an apartment off of Paces Ferry / Cumberland / East-West Connector area. Until now I have only had my T-Mobile phone (No home phone). I have had no problems in my area. Also, I work off of Windy Hill, no problems to report there. Although coverage could always be better (in the middle of the building / bathroom etc... ), I have no serious complaints!

Reception indoors isn't the best. I've only been with T-Mobile for about a month, and I love their service. According to the C.S.R reps they're working diligently to provide their customers with more towers and better reception! T-Mobile's the new kid on the block... I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. So far I'm satisfied with the V188 phone, although I'm currently eyeing the Motorola V330 *can't wait to get that one*

Service in the Roswell Rd / Sandy Springs area is pretty good except in our home. The reception / signal improves dramatically as you move up towards buckhead, midtown and downtown where the signal's at its peak. :) Overall I'm satisfied with T-Mobile because they will only get better. Keep in mind they haven't been around as long as Verizon, Cingulair and Sprint. So far so good... great customer service!

I can be driving on Briarcliff Rd. with a full signal, then the next minute, if there are trees, bushes, or anything like that, the call gets dropped... not once, but 3 times. I have regretted ever going to Cingular a year ago and as of next week, I am going back to Verizon.

In this general area, the service ranges from 5 bars down to 0 bars. This is a hilly, very residential area, and I suspect that it's difficult for the cellular providers to put in new towers (no one wants them in their backyard). You can go one block in either direction for a dramatic change in the reception.

i can see the Cingular home office from my apt. and STILL get only 2 bars on a good day. Ive gotten forced into another contract WITHOUT my signature or authorization, have returned over 50 phones due to poor reception and dropped calls, and have spent thousands in false overages. Cingular is BY FAR the WORST cell phone company I have ever had the misfortune of using. I would guess 2 soup cans and some string would have better reception and service.

I had my phone for quit a while, dropped a couple and ones was soak with water, yet my service provider is great, in my house I get 2 to 3 bars but ones step outside I get the full five, metro PCS is a small and new company, yet its service si great, I am fully satisfied with the service, one thing I love the most is that metro PCS is constanly expanding the coverage area, good inside marta, in the corse of 2 years I only had about 30 drop calls and about 10 no ringign calls and only voicemail apear situation.

Inside my house I get 2-3 bars and call drops are a real problem. But once you step outside the service is great. metroPCS has great coverage over metro atlanta. I didn't think that I would get good service while riding MARTA. Overall I an satasfied being that they offer service with out a contract and without minutes.

I live in Morningside and have tried Digital and now GSM. Barely any bars here with either technology. With GSM, I can stand still and go from 3 bars to no bars. Mostly, I have zero reception at home and I live right in the middle of a large metropolis. Morningside is just north east of midtown Atlanta. Is my problem with towers not being near by? or Do I have a weak phone? or Does my provider just have bad coverage? What is it????? Should I switch? To what?
