Had to stand by the window or go outside. Never more than 1 bar, even with the antenna extended. My wife's phone would only work outside, but her antenna would not extend. Switched to Cingular and we get 2 bars almost all over the house (8525 and Razr)

Moved to this area a couple of months ago. No service most of the time but I do get thru sometimes. I called Cingular but they said since it was a rural area the reception in this area was poor. They said they would try to strengthen my signal, but it isn't any better. Hopefully they will get a cell tower out this way soon.

I get great reception until i get 1/4 miles from the house. I can get 1-2 bars if I stand on the deck in the back and point NE towards Athens. T-Mobile claims this is not a phone problem but a tower issue and also promises to hook me to a Cingular signal through some kind of agreement they have.
