Anywhere along the Broad River Valley on the Oglethorpe County side of Carlton, VERIZON is the only phone that has signal. I used to be with AT&T (was Cingular) but had to drive up to Lexington-Carlton Rd to get steady reception. NOW with Verizon, I can be bush hogging in my tractor along the Broad River in my bottom land and email, text, surf the internet and talk all on any of the half dozen Verizon Blackberry phones I've used over the past couple years. Don't bother with Sprint or T-Mobile, they WONT work and AT&T's towers are more toward Elberton. Bottom line is, Verizon is King in North Oglethorpe.
