Had good reception for 7 years, in the past year the recepion of ATT has gone to zero. ATT would do nothing to resolve or to waive cancelllation fees. What other sevice based provider can stop service and yet still get paid and enforce contract terms? Dishonest.
Just commented about my recent poor reception, i.e. July 2008. My comments include the wrong phone model. I have an OLD Nokia. Not the 8800 as listed. My old Nokia is el cheapo, basic model but it has always provided a better signal and reception than the expensive, newer models.
Just this past few weeks have noticed very poor reception. This old phone always had a good signal and clear reception... what haqppened? Is it my phone or the "newer" phones calling me?
We live in the woods just off Hwy. 212 south of Zion Bapt. church and the only AT&T phone that works at my house is an old Nokia. And it drops lots of calls, too. The newer models don't work at all unless you're on the porch outside and even then it's one or two bars and you can count on losing the call shortly after beginning a conversation (if it begins at all). I'm thinking of trying another carrier -- like T-Mobile or Verizon.
dead spot between smith store road and dove point subdivison no signal. no signal in house and have to go outside to make call.. no voicemail very dissatified no help from AT&T ! south of poterdale near covington
I have never had a problem with my Verizon service until now, I don't now if it is the Mortorola phones I use of the area in which I live. But I know that I have been to many more country(hick) towns than where I am currently living and my service never skips a beat. But since moving down to GA from Chicago, I get little to no reception in my house.. I'm notsure if I want to leave Verizon because I can honeslty say that they haven't given me any problems but I don't know what to do. Any suggestion? I may try another brand.. maybe LG.
Typical. If you are near the Interstates, you have excellent reception (especially Nextel). Once you get off the main routes you might as well use smoke signals.
